C43 headlight control thingymajigs???

Subject title is weird I know, but like most know j picked this c43 up for 2800 Canadian and it seems pretty solid but requires some tlc.

it has the xenon headlight pkg but in front of each light u see the hood (or sorry behind each light) there are these silver boxes, which looks like they're connected to the back of the headlight. Only problem is that they are literally just sitting loose in the engine bay.

Here is two photos I took. Anyone know where these are supposed to be secured to?

it came like this trust me.

These ballast modules are for xenon lights D2R,
They are attached to lower section where the inside bumper brackets are in the deep black hole.

Someone unbolted these boxes

I dont think those are oem. They look different but I could be wrong.

They connect on the bottom of the frame in the front of the car.

I tried looking for pics of where the ballasts mount, but was only able to find a pic showing the driver's side (left facing forward). It mounts in the wheel well, while the passenger side ballast actually bolts to the back of the bumper support bar. As you can imagine, accessing that requires removing the bumper. Not terribly hard, but tricky if you do it yourself.

Removing the front bumber is a one man 5 minute job (4 nuts not forgetting the temp sensor pushed into the bumber support). Use a blanket on the ground to lay the bumber and protect from ground rash.

Reassembly takes a bit more time as you need to find and align the side brackets to slide on. Also a one man job but better with a little bit of help of a friend....

peppyhead, they're not Mercedes OEM, but they're not cheap chinese for sure. They look like BMW/Mini Bosch units (possible Bosch part number 1307329023)

have you run your VIN to check if your car had zenons from factory.

the sticker on ballast is yellow, bosch use the same decal, i see a STAR and letter L, this is a genuine part.
is the other side ballast stamped with a STAR and letter R

I've run the VIN to check the carproof and carfax. the previous owner said the headlights went on him so he ordered these, and trust me they are not bosch. The previous owner was a complete liar at every turn but like I said I got the car for cheap because I knew he needed the money. He was just a hack job that put these ballasts in and just left them there.
also he changed the coolant resevoir tank lower hose and put some ****ty hose he bought at walmart and it's rubbing against the manifold and alternator.

That VIN decoder is awesome holy cow. Yeah the car has the factory Xenon Headlamps.

Anyone know where I can find coolant hoses or a schematic of them? It's the fatter lower one that connects underneath the coolant resevoir and runs to the bottom of the radiator?
I've checked and can't seem to find a diagram.
