Renntech goodies ain't cheap.
wheels are from the SL60/70/72/73AMG cars, these are the nicest split wheels ever made, Sulaco had them on his car and bangs his head to the wall regretting he sold them!!
this is a MY2000 car, too bad the US cars never got the same goodies like us europeans have on our cars, especially the last MY2000 should have had extra toys
nostalgic people /collectors tend to pay the same money for a 124 E500 Limited or the E60AMG cars.
you get what ya pay for.
your buddy would be very happy about this car, but the pricetag will scare him away

There are plenty of 98 and 99 models to modify and swap them every-which-way, plus if you end up asking that price, at least put a 5.5 kompressor in it.

I thought you were all about inflating C43 prices?

But yes, in all seriousness, although that car is definitely clean, he will never sell it for anything near that price. In fact, he would be lucky if he sold it for half that. Someone else already hit it right on the head...that car is worth maybe $16K max. But all good, he says he's in no rush to sell, so maybe after a few years he'll decide to bring the price down to something reasonable.
But since we're on the subject of people who've taken a few too many hits off the water bong, check out this outrageous ad.

Again, while a clean car, worth about half the asking price. But hey, one can always dream!~
PS - I think this car actually belongs to a current member on here. If I recall correctly, he bought it in the Bay Area for like $12-14K and brought it down to So Cal.

C36s infact got as low as $5,000 here in the past 12 months, and i shouldve bought them all.
A W211 E55 can be had for under $20,000 now, but i havent looked for a while.
I almost bought a CL55 initially, $30,000 seemed like a steal for that car.
I think the biggest issue that drives prices on these newer higher rank AMGs here to such low values is the cost of some AMG specific parts is bloody rediculous, a set of front rotors for a CLS55 is well over $4,000 from what a dealer told me, and this is a dealer that sells at very fair prices...
Comparatively speaking, this is where the lesser models turn into bargains when you get them cheap, but id say people have started seeing this... Models like C36, C43, CLK55, C55, and the W210 E36 and E55 are all pretty simple sort of cars that seem to be incredibly reliable and expensive parts last a long time, hence prices on all but the E55 have all of a sudden jumped up a bit... Especially the C36 and E36, but the E36 is so damn rare and that probably accounts for it there.
No idea how many C36s came to Australia, im reasonably sure theyre ALL 4 speed auto, never seen a 5 speed. There was 60 C43s came here between 98 and 2000.

I certainly dont care one bit if someone wants to ask a rediculous price, that is their call, no one elses.
