Yes you'll be just fine with stock ECU. Mine ran great for 3 years with 5.4

This was a custom tune tailored to my specific car using feedback from dyno and wideband o2 sensor. 5 dyno runs were made during the tuning process to get it perfect.
Not a mail order 'canned' tune.

Have to agree that dyno tuning is the only method to improve the power and torque
