C36 Worldwide Production Figures - WORLD WIDE
Hi Everyone,
Great forum, and sorry just a question please:
Would anyone know how many production figures WORLDWIDE were the C36 AMG? I think the 1997 were the rarest.
I know the US and North America figures and it's blatantly stated everywhere, but WORLDWIDE figures are the question for 1997 C36 AMG.

Try asking the Factory direct. That would give you the real info, if they answer...

Heres the worldwide production chart. There was 199 C36's produced in 1997. There was 91 C43's produced in 2000. Only 23 of those made it to North America.

I agree, must be US figures only. I had the total # manufactured. This info came from Stuttgart. Need to find this in my files...

A confirmed total of 1150 C43's were shipped to the US. If it's US figures only then why wouldn't it specify that the 2000 model year C43 is 25 units as that is how many units the US received. How many 2000 model C43's has anyone come across on this worldwide forum alone? I only recall 3 in the time that I've been a member on here. I happen to know for certain that Canada got a total of 0 2000 model year C43's. In 1999 only 64 units were shipped to Canada. In 1998 there was 65 units for a total of 129 Canadian C43's. Those figures I was given by Mercedes Canada. AMG would know for certain but it is very difficult to connect with someone. I contacted them about a Mercedes/AMG shipping frame for a complete motor and they finally responded over a month later.

There is apparently only 3 MY2000 C43s came to Australia, and a total of 60 spanning the 3 model years.
Ive seen 2 real 2000 model C43s for sale in Australia over the years, one was a 189 colour and the other was silver.
There was another alleged 2000 model for sale here a few months ago, but it was not a 2000 model, the only thing that is had in common with a 2000 model was the wheels. All 2000 models had tilt adjustable steering wheel and so-called tiptronic shifter, this car had neither of those things.

Agree with u regarding tilting steering and tiptronic box. However the tilting steering may have been offered as an option before, not sure though. May be interesting knowing if someone has this in a non 2000MY. It may have been the steering being adjustable in depth only.

this lever in the circle is the locking lever, which only adjusts the steering wheel by manually pulling it up towards you or you want to lower the SW by pushing it further down.

What the guy above said. The tilt function was only available in 2000 and later, telescopic steering column is what youre refering to and was standard on all C43s.
