I don't understand the first exhaust photo with double secondary cats, then later the secondary cats are installed with central resonator deleted with the straight pipe. Looks like you are using the rear silencer from the 36 with rectangular tirs, or is it a photo illusion

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
@ all: thank you very much!

The colourcode is 366 Azuritblaumetallic.
@PJmak:
BTW my wheels... It was time for something new and I had to have it reprocessed, so I wanted to try something new.
I like the look of both very much...
The exhaust is a special manufacture we have then made for a sheikh at AMG.
I worked from 1998 to 2002 at AMG in Affalterbach.
The exhaust panels are from the C36 but the muffler is smaller than the original one. The Sound is deeper.
I will try to upload a sondfile
@DRBC43AMG:
I have 143000 Km on my C43.
The first exhaust photo with the double secondary cats That means I have two systems. One is original and at the second there are no more catalysers, I have cleared this completely empty.
The empty double secondary cats and the straight pipe gives my C43 a very rough and aggressive sound.

Jens
You need a specialist who knows how to build a exhaust.
From my muffler were manufactured at the time 3 pieces, the sheik bought then only 2 C36 thus one is left over.
Pic1 ist the original C43 muffler.
Pic2 is my muffler, can you see the difference in size?

Turn your speakers loud!
Soundfile 1 is the original C43 exhaust with my muffler!
Soundfile 2 is my setup. ( I hope you hear the difference)
On the vehicle itself it sounds a lot much better than it is now over here, but so you have times an idea of i....
The next time I take a video and set it here

BTW great exhaust system you have

Perhaps you can answer exactly how these cars were built? News at the time indicated they were built in Stuttgart using engines supplied by AMG. But over the years some people believed MB sent empty w202 shells to Affalterbach to be hand-built by AMG. Which is correct?

Let's see what Jens says....

Holy ****, that second sound clip sounds amazing. I can't help but wonder how it sounds at wide open throttle!
@Sulaco:
DRBC43AMG is right!
At my time the C43 were built at the MB factory line. (You can also read it on your type plate. WDB2020331F.....) The "F" says that this car was built at MB factoty in Bremen (Germany).
Only the W202 C55 AMG was converted from C43 to C55 in Affalterbach.
And the W210 E55 AMG was built at a small AMG factory line in Affalterbach.
@raw1879: Thank you very much!!!
Ohhhh maaaaan, I can understand you well...
Oh yes i can tell you that it sounds very well with wide open throttle
Many of you drive a 5.5 liter in c43.
I would be interested which engine number you have installed?
I'm looking for one with the M113.986 from a CL with 360 horsepower, or a
M113.987 (Evo) from a W203 with 367 horsepower.
Many of you have the 5,5 Liter from the W210 E55 verbaut.
I know that I have to convert the oil pan for my mentioned numbers (M113.986 , M113.987)
Maybe you can still describe your experiences?
