Thoughts about a 1995 C36 with original 55K miles, asking price $4,500.00
Are these cars rare and is this possibly a good investment?
It will need some TLC for sure.

Any photos? Can't say much regarding the price as I don't live in the USA, but considering the 55k miles the 36 is barely run in. Do you have maintenance history fot the vehicle? Any rust (sills, bottom of wings, etc.) ?

No maintenance history, the car was impounded and is being sold by the scrap yard owner.

This C36 looks weird & not preferred for usage..!!,,
looks like for spare parts only, and i think the price is vary for this days as well..!??!

Owner claims other then clearcoat peeling the car to be perfect.
I have asked for additional pictures and will post once received.

I simply called my dealer with the VIN number to see what services were done on the vehicle. Not having anything serviced on this car for almost 20 years at a dealership does not give me a warm and cozy feeling, as in my opinion, especially an AMG C36 car should be serviced regularly at a dealership in order to have the car properly maintained.
Now of course it is possible that the vehicle was maintained by the owner him or herself, but I am not a risk-taker when it comes to not having a service history.

A red c36 I came across on ebay long time ago and didn't even know what it was at first is how I first fell in love with w202s

Him thinking its a 10k car as is. No way a car that shows no record whatsoever of it being properly maintained is worth full street value. Also paint seems in rough shape, will most likely need a full respray. If it sat out long enough to peel than it set long enough for the rest of the paint to fade....making it impossible to color match.
also we dont know why the car was not registered. What if it couldnt pass smog?
My sister has a red w202 c230 and it has the same issue with clear coat for some reason. There are literally chunks of it coming off.
