Strange issue with road vibration

After the car has been sitting over night and I first drive it the next day it feels like theres a big flat spot on the front tires but I can assure there isnt one and the tires are only maybe less than two years old.

Once I get going after a few minutes it goes away.

Could it be an issue with shocks??

I've experienced the same thing. What I've noticed is it happens when it is cold out, I have never experienced it in the summer. It's hard for me to believe it is something in the suspension as I replaced literally every front end suspension component when I installed the Vogtland springs

Hmm Im trying to wrap my head around how a wheel hub could cause this.

Big tires will flat spot in cold weather overnight. If you have stiff suspension it will transmit every irregularity to your steering. I would bet on that first. You could try jacking weight of the fronts overnight in the garage then see how it is when you first start out.

nope. It's intermittent and goes away after about 5 minutes of driving so I haven't chased it down

By big I mean 225-245 x 40 or 45 for sure. Not always in one night, but I had a M5 that was always like that after parking for a week in winter

I may be wrong, of course. I’m only relating my experience. I also had a bad vibration at speed problem in my 4Runner that I spent a lot of time chasing thru wheels, tires, and suspension that turned out to be a slowly failing universal joint in the main driveshaft.

I am of the opinion that they are flat spots on the tyres, which disappear when the tyre warms up. Normally flat spots appear after a relatively long time frame, not unless it is freezing cold. What make tyres do you have on at the moment?

They are bridgestone potenzas. I never had this issue before and I had this car for over ten years with all kinds of tires. That would be very strange and my other car sits outside too

Strange indeed... Just wondering if it could be a faulty shock absorber which judders until the hydraulic oil loosens up when warming

Your problem sounds different than mine. I don't really feel it in the car, more in the steering wheel. The shock theory makes more sense to me as it would happen when I was daily driving my C43 so flat spots are very unlikely to be the culprit

Mine literaly.feels like a bad flat spot. You can feel the car go up and down.

i pulled forward a few inches today and looked at the tires and they looked fine.
