I decided that "T-Rex" needed some better/brighter parking/side lights as the ones installed give a yellowish tint compared to the bright white of the Xenons. Found some LED bulbs type W5W at a local DIY store which I installed and found the light was much better. Unfortunately the instructions on the package didn't mention possible code errors on our older models. Logged on with a LED supplier in France which I have used in the past when I changed all the bulbs in my Renault Twingo last year. All work perfectly and none have broken down.
I decided to go for some W5W LED bulbs manufactured in Germany, 6400K in clear white with a guarantee of being OBD compatible. Installed them this afternoon and they work great with no errors and giving a brighter intensity than the previous cheapo LED ones.
I can now use these as daylight running lights no problem, which will protect the Xenons from unnecessary use in daylight.
Some photos below of the LED units with before and after bulbs replacement.

Those are 5050 SMDs which are a really really old chipset. If you're interested in pure white 5000K which would better match your xenon low beams, let us know.

DRBC43AMG do you remember fitting size for factory bulb parking lights?
Don't remember what these bulbs looked like?
Had park W5W LED's on my car for a few years, now one of them fried a few days ago.
I'm going back to factory bulbs I don't want to fiddle no more with low Q. stuff .

I'm not at home for the moment, so can't get more specific details to you. I'll browse my computer files later and see if I can find something for you...

Not sure what you mean by fitting size?
The W5Wbulb fits into the bulb holder and said holder pops into the appropriate headlight bulb opening. I used Osram bulbs at the time for my non LED lights. I managed to change all the bulbs for LED ones (get quality one only, not cheapo items, even if more expensive and they will not give you error codes ). Managed to change all the bulbs except the rear inside dome light over the back seat. It's a sealed unit as far as I could see and couldn't access the thing.
The W5W LED bulbs I used where from these guys. Never gave a problem. See post #4 in this thread for details

W5W size is for stock factory bulbs?
I thought LED's were described as W5W and stock bulbs called something else on bulb chart?
I had quality LED's but they lasted only approx 3 or 4 years then fried.
Shop claimed they were the best LED's they had which wasn't true.
They were also canbus approved but still got random broken bulb illuminating.
You buy crap you get crap for your hard earned money that's why I'm going back to stock bulbs they last longer!
Bought new W5W lights from Phelips Xenon white bulbs.
Going back to bulbs now.
LED's I used lasted only for 3 to 4 years if IIRC with very low mileage burn time.
Got tired of replacing crappy stuff, therefore I'm going back to bulbs and hopefully no issues anymore.
