I Want To Quite My C43 In The Mornings
I'm moving in November to a much quieter neighborhood. I'm thinking my new neighbors will not appreciate the loud sound the exhaust makes in the mornings, cold starts. I have 2 C43's so twice the sound.
Any ideas how I can quiet the loudness of the exhaust in the mornings without loosing the growl after the car warms up?
I don't want to put a resonator/silencer as it will sound stock. I just want to quiet the exhaust at startup.
Thanks in advance.

You can sell one that would delete half the noise lol you have pics of your c43s
im puting the muffler back on mine I deleted the resonator and muffler sounds to
much of a humming sound

I have to much money invested on my cars to sell... My other one is black but has some surface rust I need to fix. Fixing all mechanical things first than body and paint next summer. Will be painting it flat space grey or the like. Or alpine white, not really sure yet, I can paint any color so it's hard to decide.

Well I live in a very quite neighbourhood and my direct neighbours know the sound of T-Rex starting up cold. Nobody has ever complained and very early starts are few and far between. Having said that, probably the only solution if your neighbours get nasty, is to revert to the normal exhaust with secondary cats and resonator.

Looks good bro , white always has that rich look but black look tuff as well red is head turner and silver blends in

I have best of both worlds, I have a flap that opens and closes. I live in a quiet neighborhood that would not appreciate my 43 at 2 am so it goes quiet but out on the roads it's full straight pipe with the flip of a switch

That's exactly what I was looking for. Saw them on ebay but they looked cheap. I need some good quality so they last longer. If you could share where you bought yours I appreciate it. If not no problem. Thanks.

I had no cats with stock resonator and muffler. Sounded good, not too loud at all. No droning or cackling or any funny business. Sounded very similar to a g55.
But however quiet or loud your car is, it's always going to be the loudest at cold start up.

Yeah that cold start is a problem. Resonator/silencer will help without loosing to much power. But I like the v8 sound when cruising.

I got silver because its race focused and is the ultimate Mercedes color. It also shows the cars lines and the car will always look new when polished because silver is a modern color, and the color allows it to stand out with modern cars parked next to it in terms of blending in for the 95% of people who don't know what a c43 is.

I've always loved white. And with the two tone it's perfect. Silver is also really nice. Black hides all the cool lines of the car but like you said it looks tough, somewhat.
