Best engine oil for M113
Hi all

just been thinking lately about oil I’ve used Mobil 1.
Petronas shell but I think castrol edge it the one to go for. it seems to me the engine spins a little bit easier on start up (when cold or hot) with Castrol

"Castrol Edge" is really great to catch..

Ive been a fan of mobil 1 0w-40 but im gonna change over to liquimoly's 5w40 to see how that works

thats not the euro formula.

LOL not my car but i do remember him talking about trying to lower IAT and i know with my stock box the heat from multiple runs at the drag strip is killer

Now don't forget that the OP is a frequent runner of the "Ring" with this highly modified w202. I imagine he knows what works and what doesn't

Don't they make a 5W-60 grade? I would have thought that it would be for better protection when thrashing the beast. I used a 60 grade in my Porsche 964RS when racing... Never a problem ever!

bringing back old thread, i've had good success with mobil1 5w-50 for track and 5w-40 for road. never issue for NY weather. i actually found it to be more important to change fluids at the right time than comparing mobil1 vs other brands. just my take....

A 112/113 engine likes any oil. Mobil euro, every 5/6k miles. It’s great, if you baby it take it to 10k

Been using Mobil1 0w-40 for 12 years. My mechanic said internals looked great when he cracked the valve covers off.
