LOCATION SURVEY! Where you at?
Hey guys, don't know if this has been done before, and I realize some of us have our location info in our profiles, but having said that I thought it'd be helpful to do this.
I think some of us might be surprised by who else is in our "neighbourhood". So let the group who where you're at! I for one am mulling the idea of planning a get-together/drive in Washington state in the Spring.
I'll get this rolling:
Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.

Columbus, Ohio. I also know there's another Columbus, Ohio user floating around this site who owns 1 of the 25 model year 2000 c43 amg's

My 1998 c43 is color code 189 (black opal metallic/ emerald black/ Smaragdschwarz Mica) which I know is a limited color, but not sure of production numbers...how did you find the color production figures?

I knew that there were 25 c43s imported in year 2000. I found all of them and ran the vins to find the color.
Its called Titanite Red - Metalic
Is yours GREEN BLACK METALLIC (189U)?
That is the rarest color after the one above. (theres only one in the color above from what I know). At least only one for year 2000

I’ll track down the links of the others tonight and post them. The picture of the media car was on my old phone but I’ll scour the web to find it again, didn’t have much luck earlier...you think it would be easier to find
Back soon with more!

https://germancarsforsaleblog.com/19...amg-in-denver/
^there's a 189U sold in 2015 out of Denver. I remembered this as being in CA and with much higher mileage for some reason, apologies. The seller claims there to only be 5 total c43s imported in 189U Black Opal Metallic/Green Black/etc., but i have no idea where he's pulling this data from and i'm not sure if i believe the production was that low. I wouldn't be mad if it was (lucky me), but i'm skeptical. The seller also mentions the another 189U car that was totaled (haven't been able to find what forum he's referencing or any proof yet, so he could be full of bs for all i know).

^there's a c43 press-car, but this is not the one i had originally found as it is in Azurite Blue (not sure the color code). I'm still looking for the 189U one, which i believe was LHD based on the one picture from the front left side of the car (if anyone comes across it, the differentiating feature on the car was SL600 18inch two-piece AMG monoblocks). Nonetheless, whoever bought this for under $7,000 USD with roughly 74k mi. got the deal of the century.
will be back with additional examples as i locate them! And will throw up pictures of mine tonight!

Heres the vin card for the last vin above. You can run all those vins on that page.

Also those arent the sl600 two piece wheels. They look like either modified Monoblock II or replica monoblock II wheels. There was never a two piece monoblock II set frommercedes.

And here are the wheels that were on the press-car (opal one, not Azurite blue one above): https://www.ebay.com/itm/Mercedes-AM...QAAOSwl6Vc1o70 They're AMG stamped but not monoblock IIs...not sure if they were BBS manufactured and offered as a factory upgrade or what the story is behind them, rarely see them, but they show up on some r129 SL600s

DId it have them before the wheels that are on there in the pictures?
The ones in the pictures look like monoblock 2s. The link you just posted are the sl600 wheels.
They are original AMG wheels optional on the sl600 and made by BBS. They are two piece wheels and are pretty rare. Was a 4k plus option back in the day
I have a set Im restoring
