My brother was driving and a person turned into his lane from a side street trying to cross and he hit her rear left wheel as he had no time to react. He says she barely stopped.

Waiting to hear from her insurance. She had no DL

Main frame wasnt effected. Upper coolant hose busted so some coolant came out.

Well see how this plays out with insurance. Car has a 5.4 swap

I guess so lol. This car was salvaged before from very similar but a lot lighter damage in the exact same area actually.

I dont have room, time, or money to throw at two projects otherwise I would fix it.

If insurance pays me out and offers to buy it back for cheap, Ill probably do that.

Not sure what Ill do with it. Ill find someone to get it off my hands and fix it. I wont let it go to junk.

Lucky you can drive with summer tires in winter.
Now snow or studded tires needed in California?

If it was hit in the same spot first time, metal was bent and got weak from first hit.

Usually normal tires or summer tires are fine for me.

Worst case we get some rain. Its only a problem if tires ar wide and super low thread.

I did! Runs really well, just needs some TLC. I recently purchased a pristine D2 S8 w/ 120k (1 of 53). It was a deal too good to pass up so the Merc has been pushed to the side for now. Hard finding parts for it. Went down to Monterey at the Pick-n-Pull and the one they had received in mid December has been completely stripped.

Savo? Very nice guy. Gave me some good pointers on the car. His silver one is for sale too as well I believe. And oh yea, it has been ransacked. Bumper gone and everything from the interior but the dash, carpet. Both fenders and the hood are still there if I remember correctly.

Yep Savo takes care of his cars. He really put effort into making that one drive properly. I know cosmetically its not the best example but I believe he got it like that.

Sorry to hear of your C43, PJ! I really feel for you as these cars are becoming far and few between. As long as the frame and control arm is good, it looks far worse than it actually is! Hope for the best with the insurance company!
