Yeah I agree. They look chunky and agressive, but I wanted a coupe and they only came out with the later face-lift models. Also the pre 2011 had very serious problems with cylinder head bolts

So, I picked her up and have managed to drive a couple of hundred kms. It's just a great machine. The exhaust sound track of the M156 engine is phenomenal, even if the M113 with secondary cats and resonator delete is not shabby in comparison. Haven't got round to listen to the stereo and doubt I will do so in the future, apart when in confort cruising mode. The 'M' mode using the shift paddles is great and I love the little accelerator blip when downshifting with accompanying crackles. The newer MCT 7 speed is a defo improvement over the older transmissions with torque convertor. Much faster and smoother. Have to get round reading about and teaching myself all the little electronic tricks the C63 has.
First upgrade ordered and will be soon arriving. It will be a "Radiator Block Off Plate" which essentially gets the cool air flowing into the different cooling elements up front instead of moving up and into the engine bay.
Second upgrade will most certainly be some gold sheeting coverage under the intake air-boxes as they are situated on each side of the engine just above the exhaust manifolds.
Sitting in front of a friends garage this week-end

First things first, get a tune! Instant 40+ WHP. Next, you need long tube headers and x pipe. You think it sounds good now, wait until the headers are installed.
I have the WIS so if you need anything work instructions for your M156 let me know.

Yeah my fault for the 159 over 156 mishap now corrected. Must have been the excitement while writing
Thanks for the WIS proposal. I also have it and refer to it when doing any unknown procedure.
Doing any exhaust work will be difficult as most parts need to be homologated so its a big hassle. A tune on the other hand is possible, but would probably need a trip up to Germany.

can't you just have them mail you a hand held tuner with a tune? Takes all of 5 minutes to use the MyGenius in your driveway

Yea I would get a Eurocharged V8 tune and the new TCU tune they are offering, the MCT loves it!
