u can buy them painted also. Maybe when you get to the point of changing them out, u could look into just buying them already done.

I would get them powdercoated. A buddy of mine had the ones on his 911 done and it looks great.

To those who had ever painted their own calipers, does the paint turns out glossy and smooth like how the aftermarket calipers are? (kleeman, brembo) Any additional clear coating required?

yeah, its glossy... just pick the right kind. no additional clearcoat needed, but sometimes it will chip slightly. but definitely worth doing yourself.

ur local store and tirerack both carry do-it-ur-self type caliper paint. if u wish to spend a bit more... i can recommend u to a place in oakland if u live near there that will do powder coatings...

Or you could do it yourself.

It's not that hard.

I painted mine with G2 caliper paint. They can be purchased from many places like tirerack and other wheel store..

Here is mine

i actually have not had them do anything for me. a fellow volvo owner in alameda (iron worker...custom tables and stuff) recommended it. he had his 18" wheels powdercoated by them, and also had his 993tt porsche 4 piston calipers powdercoated black...red calipers looked too flashy on his black wagon. anyway...the finish was really nice for both the caliper and the wheels. if u need his contact for pricing, i can send u his too...

yeah, that would be great if you could give me his contact info. so i'm assuming that this place in oakland doesn't do all the work of cleaning the calipers, painting them, etc. do they just powdercoat only? i'm looking for a place that will do the whole works on my brake calipers. thanks again....
