Just ordered a Tesla Model 3 performance!
0-60 in 3.1 seconds
it should be here in a couple weeks
don’t worry boys the AMG’s are staying in the stable. Bought this as the daily so I can keep the miles low on my babies.
still working on the C43 refresh. So far I’ve replaced the headlights, corner lights, windshield, and installed fresh set of 18” monos. Interesting enough I’ve owned my C43 for almost 11 years and this is the first time I’ve had monoblocks on it. My headliner is starting to sag so that will be added to the list...
I polished the lenses on my E63 and applied clear coat. They look almost new again! All the 63 needs is a paint correction (the paint is a 9/10) and ceramic coating
I’ll post a pic of the 43 and the model 3 when it arrives

Sensible choice for a daily. Now you just need to get green electricity for charging and it will be even more CO2 efficient
I understand your choice of keeping M113 and M156 engined beasts. The last of the true N/A AMG V8s

Nice! We actually picked up a 2020 Ram to daily and keep the miles off the AMG's. Also, my C43 is in desperate need of refreshing front to back.
What was wrong with your old headlights?

Welcome to the club. I've had an i3 (which I absolutely love!) for several years now for this very purpose! And damn, has it already been 11 years? I still vividly remember when you first bought it as I was eyeing his ad as well (he was selling it to get an E39 M5), lol.

Indeed, welcome to the club. I love my Tesla and have enjoyed every mile in it.

One had a small hole from a rock and I thought it best to replace both Originally Posted by Sulaco

Was just contacted by Tesla saying my Model 3 Performance has been pushed back to March
they are sifting through inventory to see if they can find something acceptable
More to come...

That sucks! How did you spec it?
They're all about delivery numbers, so if yours isn't the easiest delivery, they'll always go for something easier, especially around the end of a quarter. They'll also tell you March and then suddenly call you in the middle of January and tell you that your car will be there the next day and they need your payment right that moment. So just be ready for that. It will show up out of the blue. Again, all of that being said and as annoying as it is, the experience once you have the car is worth it.

Yup. The SA inferred that if I waited I would probably have something well before March.Originally Posted by ECTurboGSX

I told them I would wait

Where are you located? If you're near me, I'll give you a ride and it'll change your mind. It is such an assault on your senses, you don't really have time to miss the sound. And to be fair, there might not be much of a sound for bystanders, but there is definitely a space ship sound inside the car where you can hear the motors. Originally Posted by RPB

The only tesla I ever rode in was an Uber in Denver. It was a retired engineer who drove uber to avoid boredom.
It was a black on black P100D. I sat in the front with him and geeked out over how cool the car was. He was a very quiet and timid man, but he could tell I was intensely curious about his car and I was into cars, performance, etc.
Then, out of nowhere, at a red light with himself and 3 passengers, he floors it to accelerate through the light.
From that day forward, my eyes were opened. I'll always be a V8 man at heart, but my most basic nature is most pleased with the performance. That thing was stupid, scary, unbelievably fast. EV's are the future, end of story.
