55-swapped C43 and Tires: What are you running?

I need tires for my 55-swapped C43 and I want something that STICKS but also works okay as daily driving.

I have Pilot Sport 4S on my E55 and I love them. They grip left/right and hook up on launch really well. Do I need to do the same for my C43? I plan on letting my E55 be a garage queen while driving my C43 as the daily. I am suspicious of the Pilot Sport 4S wet-road performance, the tires look awfully slick when new.

If you have a 55 swapped C43, what experiences have you had with tires? What do you recommend? I sometimes commute to work in the city but 90% of my driving is highway or twisty roads where I'm out having fun.

I don't have the 55 swap but I have used Michelin tyres on all tyre changes to my C43 together with previous MBs. My C63 will get a set of Michelin tyres in the spring when I revert back to my 19" summer wheels. I currently have Contis and the fronts are still the OE and manufactured in 2012 The rears have been changed once, so I guess it looks like 1x fronts for 2x rears.

Hankook Ventus V12 on all my cars. They are good for the ptice imo. They run a bit wider than michelins of the same side for some reason.

I have Pilot Supersports on there right now but will only run PS4S's on my performance cars going forward. They work incredibly well on my Tesla and lasted 35,000 miles and that is a heavier car.

Did any of you gentlemen have experience on the highway with wet roads? I don't have to worry about snow and ice here, but it rains a lot during the winter and I commute at 80mph on the interstates.

No issues. I have them on my c55W203 and my w202 c43. Just drove in to work on damp roads(highway)

I've also looked at the Firehawk Indy 500. On a lot of similar euro-car forums people seem to think they're a really great tire for the money. From what I can gather, they're 2/3 the price of Pilot Sport 4s but perform 90% as well. I went through a set a long time ago but I can't recall how I felt about them.

Zero concerns on driving in the wet with the PS4S

I ran the Hankooks on my 55 swapped C43 as well. I really like the tire and great for the price. What did you decide on?

Hey Alex! Long time no see.

Nothing yet, my C43 is my backup car right now. I'm just slowly fixing it up over time. I haven't had the time or inclination to bother with tires yet, though. Just driving my truck or E55.
