I bought a “96-99 Mercedes W210 E300 E320 E430 Front Hood Radiator Grille Grill Chrome OEM”
but I can’t tell how to mod this insert to fit my w202 grill frame. Is this the right part?
part number 210 888 0123, same part number as the video here but they are physically different. It has 3 screws on the top and one on the bottom too…..
Once you remove your factory insert from the frame you'll get an understanding of the fitment and you'll realize its not exactly perfect and there is wiggle room.

alright hope is being restored somewhat. I’ll cut the sides and top like you show. I think the bottom will be ok but I guess cutting less is better to see how it fits.
I put the w202 grill over the two inserts and feom what I can tell I might get by just cutting the sides. Just not sure on the drop in but will try that first.
yeah that’s true lol but I kinda figured I’m one of the last ones to do it so many years later. I tried to find that pdf some guy made so long ago.
