Need suggestion for battery
Purchased an Odyssey Battery and not even 8 months and it won't take a charge. I bought it from fcp and they will only take their return for the same battery which I don't want.
Any suggestions on at least two batteries to consider? Thanks.

I like OEM or Bosch. Just popped an Interstate in from Costco because it's way cheaper (Bosch prices have jumped up post-pandemic).
My OEM lasted 12 years (from the factory) before it died.

OEM is Interstate which does last forever.
But most cost effective is Walmart or Costco. I use Walmart batteries and usually get a good 5-7 years from them. $150 each, 3 year warranty without the receipt.

Thanks guys really appreciate it the suggestions. Dealer wants $240.00 plus 25 for the core, I don't have mine. I'm just wondering if these dealer batteries have been sitting there for a long time. They said they have plenty in stock.
My oem battery also lasted 10 or more years. I read about these AGM batteries and intestate has those batteries. So I may look into those too.
I found this one at Amazon see link below. What do you guys think of this one? I like buying stuff from Amazon.....
fcp now I use for small stuff. Don't like their policies on large stuff not worth it to me.

I bought a Duracell from Batteries Plus. $259 plus tax and core of $22. 850CCA,92AH @ 20hr rate. Only had it for a year, great so far.
it is the same form factor as the OEM battery.

Costco sells Interstate so I think we have a winner. I paid $182 with tax for my Interstate via Costco last week.

I'm always using (74Ah) battery with "W202/W208/W210/R170/R171",
i think it's good enough, and suitable power equalization with less weight than OEM (100Ah),
(74Ah) is smaller than (100Ah), just need to relocate the bracket, and taller negative cable,,
it's a matter of pricy OEM way vs cheaper custom touch

{..all great & Thanks GOD..}

This thread reminds me that I need to check the date code on my main battery. It could be 10 years old if it's the original battery. It could be on its last legs but car cranks fine. I do keep it on a CTEK when parked.

Mine lasted eleven, no charger. Died over the winter while sitting. Similar weather conditions to you, Baltimore county. Oe are fantastic compared to batteries post pandemic, imho.
