Performance and HP ratings
What is the HP ratings on the C36 and C43? Does anyone have 0-60 and quarter mile time on these monsters?

Check out www.car-stats.com, they have stats on pretty much any car, ever manufactured, including 0-60 and 1/4 mile times for every MB.

Is it true that the '97 C36 has a few more ponies than the '95-'96 models? I heard 280 hp once...

1996 C36 AMG, 1995 Volvo 850 Turbowagon
95 and 96 c36 had 4 speed autos with 268 hp.
97 c36 had 5 speed autos with 276 hp.

I dont think it makes a big difference except on the high end for the C36. I raced a 1997 C36 with my 1995 C36 and I was faster but I slowed down around 140 and the other C36 kept going. The C43 is faster than both I think.

yeah, still, i wish the 96 had the 5 speed though. at highway cruising speed, eg 70 mph, the rpm seems a little high.

hey brabus c, have u ever tried this. about 60 or 70 mph, just kinda ease in the gas, let go, ease the gas in, let go... the "rhythm-ed" engine/exhaust note creates this weird sensation that sounds like my father snoring
