I Made A Fiber Glass Trunk Spoiler

Like to have your honest opinion, no hard feelings. I like it so I’m happy with it.
I’m thinking I might make a few and eBay them. I wanted to keep it simple but a little better from the rubber ones they sell on eBay…
This one is on the car I’m restoring so it’s fiber glassed in. I plan to make the rest which will have 3M double sided tape and if user wants to he can add a small amount of silicone to help hold, but not needed…

Price I don’t know yet, like to see what you guys think of it first.
Also, any ideas for improvement? Haven’t given it the final primer yet so I can still modify it if I like the ideas….

Thanks.

I have a real w202 Lorinser rear wing. It's a little beat up but it's all there. I've wondered if anyone wants to make a mold of it so they can make new ones...

Great ideas flying around. Nice to see this page still alive even if things have quietened down as our babies are getting on in age and no longer have the same attraction, except for those in the know

That looks very much like the factory option one could buy at the time. One had the integrated third brake light, the other didn't

Looked around in my stored files from back then and came up with page:
Page 4 of 4 of the AMG options catalogue for the W202 series

Thanks Sulaco. Maybe it looks better in person but for me I don’t like how it looks.
I also didn’t want to drill holes on the trunk. I’m thinking this spoiler will need that.

I agree with you 100%. The only reason mine is still on there is because there are holes in the trunk. When I get ready for a total paint job, I will almost certainly remove the wing and patch the holes.

The factory trunk already has a bit of a spoiler which I like. Just wish they would have made it stick out some more.
That’s why I made it as I did so you can actually see a spoiler back there, looks real nice in person.

I like it. It looks similar to the spoiler used on a w203.

Thanks. I’m also doing a very thin profile hood scoop, for looks only. I may post pics when I finish restoring the car.
