C43 Winter rim options

In Canada the Mercedes approved winter tire package is basically:
5 Spoke AMG Rims
Front Rims 7.5x18 ET33
Back Rims 7.5x18 ET44
They throw on a set of Continental TS830.
I have heard that people are going to be using the same aftermarket winter tire set up that is being used for the C450s
That is a square (all 4 wheels are the same) set up of 8x18 ET35
The tire depends on whatever tickles your fancy.
Note: I don't know if the C450 set up will work, but I have heard it will. Some people absolutely have to go OEM though. If you have the extra $5600 Mercedes is charging for winter tires and rims here in Canada...

C450 rims will mostly not work on C43 without adding a 5mm spacer ang longer bolts as the front calipers are bigger on C43. So no need for the full AMG winter package at $5,600 CDN you can stick to the C300 winter package at $2,600 CDN plus $200 for 5mm spacers and bolts directly at the dealer like I did... or go after market. So you have options!

I am in Ottawa too and am looking at getting 18" wheel/tire setup for my C400. I have the 19s and the Blizzak LM32 are shredded after 16000 kilometers, what a joke. Anyways, I am looking at getting a C43 and the setup and offset seems to be the same whether the car is C300, 400 or 450 or C43. Offsets are the same as the C43 as they are on my C400...where and who told you guys it won't fit? That is weird as my 19s look identical to the 19s on the C43

Ohhhhh I see, got it! I went to Goldwing and they priced me out a package for $2200 for Nokian Hakka R2, 225/45/18 on can't remember the rims, but matte black ones. Problem is I called Bridgestone to ***** about the Blizzaks being toast after 16K and they are going to give me 30% off the fronts, so maybe 2000 taxes in...but may end up with the same issue with the WS80 as I had with the LM32.
This C platform is even WORSE than the previous C on tires, my AMGs were not even this bad

I was quoted $4500CAD plus taxes for the AMG winter tire package, i'm not going to lie, i actually considered it!! Thanks to this post, i'm now leaning towards the C300 package with spacers and bolts. Thanks @PR2000.
P.S. can we see pics?

My set from Goldwing Autocare is 2200CAD with 18x8 Rtx RTX Munich rims with 225/45/18 Nokian Hakkapeliitta R2 . This will fit a C43 as well as my C400. I was thinking of getting the Blizzaks WS80 but I am so turned off by the excessive wear that i decided to go Nokian!

They are still at the dealer since I am in no hurry to install them. They are on display at dealers, nice looking rims. Nothing too exciting but not boring so good overall and no disrespect to after market rims but way better quality than some Chinese rims out there! So you have options, some better than other but in the end your money so your choice.

Note, you can get a winter tire package from SimplyTire in Toronto for 2500 all in. It gives you a set of 18x8 ET35 black Mercedes rims (Chinese - but who's really questioning your rims when you're driving a nice car). Comes with a set of Continental TS850's and TPMS. No spacers required - they go straight on and clear the calipers and wheel well.
Place is pretty legit. I've seen a ton of M and AMG cars rolling though there.

If the quality is there and not too many metal weights added on the rims that seems like a good deal considering you need to add spacers and bolts ($200) plus TPMS ($300) if you want them on top of the $2,600 the dealer wants for the winter package. If you have a picture of the rims that would be nice to see what they look like.
Also note, the TS850s are the most expensive winter tires they offer on the C43 at SimplyTire...they are about $140 or more expensive than the TS830 or any of the SottoZeros they sell. You can save some decent coin opting for one of those as well to further drive down the cost!

2015 c300
I'd consider those black rims as my summer rims, wonder if they come in 19s.
I've got a c300 with 18s and putting on yoko winters and getting a set of 19s for the summer.
