Just got my 2018 c43,,I noticed when shifting from 1st to 2nd at 5500 rpm the transmission has a lag, and ends up going to red line... therefore resulting to my cut off,, don't know what's going on, but it's annoying! Anyone else experiencing this??

2021 Mercedes C63s AMG Coupe
Everyone has experienced this. The transmission is not the fastest in the world. For you to shift at 5.5k in 1st gear you have to pull the pedal at 4.5k. From the second gears and onwards, it is fine if you go all the way up to 5.5k.

Mine did this when I first got it, but I had it tuned shortly after and never experienced it again. Not sure what it was, but the car feels great now lol

Yup,, on my way home from work I tested it out again, and yes your right,, 1st needs to be shifted at 4500 to 4900 rpm, in order not to catch the cut off,, will be getting my car chipped soon,, from a german company called racechip. They say tottal should come out to be 430hp and something like 460 lbs. will see

Sorry your right,, my bad, but u know what, 700$ for 61 hp and 91 lb worth the money vs 2k for what your getting, just at the end of the day, like I said, not a big fan of screwing around with the ECU, but to each there own.

Yes, nowhere near the same gains. The software is not detectable at the dealer and they even offer a motor warranty with the upgrade. For the extra little bit of money, you are getting a more consistent, reliable tune that is warrantied and comes with excellent customer service. Taking the cheap way out (especially on a Merc) is never the way to go, just saying.
