URGENT: 19" Staggered Setup for Snow Tires
I will be getting delivery for my car this weekend and I really need to choose some winter tires. And I absolutely want to keep the 19" Rims for a winter setup and get new rims for summer later(I have something in mind).
I was wondering if I should go for the OEM 19" Tire sizes for a winter staggered setup or should I go for a square setup?
So either:
225 40 R19 F
255 35 R19 R
OR
225 40 R19 F
225 40 R19 R
The tire I am going to get is LM32 Blizzaks. The other option was to wait for Nokians. So I am actually looking for a suggestion for both the brand and what kind of a setup I should be going with.
PS: I do not want to downsize to 18" for winter. Not an option.

I'm getting a delivery in February and was looking at winter tires options. All i was able to find is 225/40 & 245/40. I couldn't find 255/35… If you can get 255/35 then, of course, go with OEM set up..

I went with pirelli sottozero 3's for my winter setup. I had to do some digging as not many retailers carried the OEM staggered sizes, but ended up finding a shop that ordered them in for me. They've performed very well so far.

I went with a 255/35/R19 Blizzak LM-32 square set up and survived the Canadian winter with no problems at all. Put them on my OEM wheels as well.
The car was even still fun to hoon around in the dry. When summer came around I even took my car to the track with those still on and had a blast! When I took them off in June there was still about 60% tread left.
Just make sure you're going to get at least 3 seasons out of them. Winter tires of that price and size are REALLY hard to sell (I moved down to California after only one season).
Also, a 255 width tire on the rear wheels makes it much easier to curb the rim, so be mindful of that.

Blizzaks get good reviews but apparently wear quicker than some of the other brands.
I'm a nokian fan but they are definitely hard to get this late in the tire season.

Any updates regarding 18" winter wheel and tire selections?
Any issues going 225 square vs. stock 225F 245R ?
Also what offsets are folks using successfully? I see +30 and +35.
Date is fast approaching for the car to arrive (yipeeee!) and will need to make a selection soon.

I went with OEM size winter tires. LM-32 Blizzaks to be exact. And they are unreal. The car is finding grip which shouldn't be there.
On dry days, the performance is like a all season tire for now. Accelerating from zero on full throttle does not trigger traction control.

I'm 18" but I went with the OEM staggered sizes. Having a blast in all this snow we've been getting here in Utah. This car is hard to break free at times it's got so much grip.
