C43 build quality vs c450
I don't know if it's me just being lucky this time or if Mercedes figured out some stuff about the build quality for the 2017 model... I have noticed my c43 sedan is built much better than my 2016 c450 was.. going over imperfections in the road there are no rattles at all (dash, rear shelf, windows, doors, etc)..the c43 is very tight. Even in cold weather still no rattles..also fit of rear bumper is much better..Not even any wind noise doing 80 on the highway!!! the pano roof has no rattles when open also..the speakers on the c43 are much clearer playing music also.. I had purchased both cars new and by this point the c450 had developed a lot of rattles but not the c43..anyone have any building quality issues on the c43 sedan or am I just one of the lucky ones so far?

Consider yourself lucky. I have a nasty rattle from the glove box that won't go away and an occasional rattle from the binnacle. I'll try to fix it myself with felt tape but I doubt the glove box rattle is going away anytime soon...

Unfortunately they aren't built like an S class, even though they look pretty similar now.
Those little squeaks and rattles are infuriating, and are popping up on the new ones of all levels. It's just down to luck of the draw if you get one that has a noise or not. Has nothing to do with what engine/trim.

Well toss me in the awesome build quality camp. Had my C43 sedan since the end of October and no rattles, wind noise, or any issues. Only have about 1500 miles on it so far but its been great! Only noise I have is that sweet sounding exhaust as I drive around in Sport+ mode with a smile on my face.

I have actually been driving over some really crapy roads lately that I wouldn't dare drive down with my old c450 because I was worried it would fall apart.. the c450 sounded like I had boxes of fine China in the back seat bouncing around.. the c43 doesn't make a peep on these roads!! I still can't believe it... even with the 19" wheels on New England pothole infested roads it feels and sounds solid.. the c450 was terrible compared to this!

I will add that I have the amazing Designo leather interior on the C43 and that really brings the design appeal of the car up to a whole other level for me. It is the softest leather I have ever had in a car and that includes the Exclusive Nappa leather in my S.
Kudos to MB for getting the job done right on this one.

Of course. There's nothing new about this. Cars get better generally as the model cycle moves forward. It's impossible to get complex products dialed in completely in pre-release testing. And that's not just cars either as we all know.

I think Mercedes brought some of there German management over to Alabama to help oversee the quality control because of all the complaints with the w205.

Hit and miss I guess. I had a W204 and the 2011 C63 was rattle-stricken. My 2014 507 was not much different and that was the last of the production cycle.
My 2015 C400 was an early build and it is better built than both W204 that were from Germany...
