Is this normal engine temperature? 107 Celcius on Sports + Mode
Yesterday as I was using sports + mode in town, the temperature started climbing as high as 107 degrees time to time, is this normal or should I get it checked?

107 C is 225 so somewhat high as even pushing hard I see about 220 F engine and 193 F trans.

I also have a thread on this kicking around somewhere. I am seeing engine oil temps of ~100 C (205-215 F) in normal driving. AMG gauge shows this a couple notches right of center, but the temp seems fine to me--my Golf R could hit 240 F and still be in normal range.
Would like it if the AMG gauge could be calibrated to reflect normal temps.

I remember the highest my car hit was something like 105C, which was for a while and then it started to drop and maintained itself around 97-99

In the crazy Texas summer heat, my car will maintain 215F (102C) during normal driving. If I'm stuck in traffic or doing a lot of low speed driving, it'll climb up to 221F (105C). Highest I ever saw was 224F (107C) during a parade lap at COTA.

I have only been using Sports + mode in city. Like accelerating from a traffic light and then releasing the gas. And the car yesterday hit 108C. Temperature was around 1.5C outside. So I still do not know if I should be concerned.
I gave service dept a call. They said go by the manual. According to the manual anything below 120C is normal operating temperature.

Yep, noticed it running quite a bit higher than center of the gauge, myself. Haven't paid too much attention but around 100-105 seems about right during just normal driving (which is always in S+)
