"Very Light" Modification / Upgrade Suggestions

Just made my 1st lease payment and I'm loving my C43 !

I've started getting used to driving it and am considering doing some light upgrades / modifications now that I am more comfortable in the drivers seat (many of you might not even consider the changes modifications, but rather just switching a few things up

Since it's a lease, I'm not looking into doing a "tune" or anything else that could compromise the warranty, just thinking that if I'm going to change some things that doing it sooner rather than later would be the way to go so I can start enjoying those changes sooner than later

Changing out the tires seem to be the item most people are passionate about, this makes sense (I've got a 30,000 lease so I might as well burn the new tires and replace with the run-flats at lease turn in so why wait)

Michelin is mentioned most in the threads, but there are certainly other manufactures that may be a good choice (recommendations?)

The only other "Modification" I'm seriously considering doing that is cost effective versus the benefit may be installing the H&R lowering springs

Aside from that, I'm interested in opinions about using different air filters and the like, so please share any experience as well as impact these type of possible changes

Thanks in advance!

If your OE run flats are in acceptable condition still, put them on the shelf ASAP and save them for lease turn in (this is what I'm doing) as those things are stupid expensive plus perform & wear terribly.

You considered a "piggy-back" tune? I'd go with BMS if I was going that route. Cheap, reliable, and zero warranty issues.

Then some lowering springs, wheels (spacers if you're going to keep the stock wheels), and tint. That's a sweet "lightly modded" 43 right there

I second the spacers, personally I like the rims as they are. Not sure I would want to lower it too much, but to each his own.

I like the Michelin Pilot Super Sports, widely regarded as the best tire out there and don't mind it in runflat specs.

I have the pins, they are nice and a good upgrade over the standard black plastic stock pins. See my avatar...

Hello,

We would suggest BMC filters, In Stock. H&R Springs, In Stock. Michelin PS4S, special order. Either Dinan or BRABUS, of course Dinan piggy back is much cheaper than BRABUS.

If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to PM us. Thank you!

What size tires are you guys running the 19s?

I plan to buy at Costco. I know it's a staggered setup. Did you keep it the same size?
I plan to get the Michelin PS

I'm going to keep the 19" upgraded rims my car came with (5 spoke split titanium) and sounds like the Michelin Pilot Sport tires are the way to go

I will buy the same size tires as the Pirelli P Zero run flats that came on the rims (unless I could buy wider tires without causing any issues)

2nd the Dinan piggyback. You can remove it in 1 min before going for service and turning your car back in from the lease and its a nice upgrade for $300!!!

I'm in a similar mindset as you having just had my c43 coupe for 2 weeks now. I'm whittling down a lengthy "review" post I'm working on but in the meantime, here are a few inexpensive mods I've done.

I've tinted the car, 35% front side windows, 15% on the back 3 windows, blends together nicely.

I also received my JBSPEED pins and hood emblem last night and installed them all in just a few minutes. The pins look great, are easier to visibly verify the car's locked (aside from the side mirrors being folded, yes of course) and were a cheap mod. I love the hood emblem as well as the stock one was plastic and had blue accents, neither of which really go with the car, at least in my color/specs.

Still TRYING to be good and get through the break in period lol. I've definitely hit 6k rpms a couple of times but haven't gone over 85mph yet. So once I get through that, I'm considering a tune of some kind in the next couple of months, once I've become used to the hp. Even without being able to really hammer on the throttle, I LOVE the response and torque. I can tell there's plenty more hp waiting to be used once I get through the break-in period.

Up next, I'm looking to get the CF spoiler next as a relatively cheap mod along with wrapping the roof panel black that is between the sunroof and back window, that way it's all blacked out on top of the car and I think will make it more seamless. Several members have already done that and their cars look great.

Nice !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The CF Spoiler/Mirrors came on mine and I like it a lot, good contrast to the white body

Your hood emblem looks great !

I have a 4 Door with Panorama roof... It's black across the entire roof already

The mods you are doing are exactly the type of mods I'm considering

I'm interested in how much difference changing the filters makes

Yep, thats the one. Its slightly smaller than the plastic one the car came with but looks natural in the spot. Looks much better IMO

2021 C300 4matic Cabriolet
Hi folks, I am getting a 2021 C300 4matic Cabriolet and planning to replace the yucky plastic door pins to the factory AMG metal version. Do i follow the same method as mentioned by using a plier/cloth/anticlockwise method to remove the door pin ? TIA.
