Burmester Bass cutting out
Picked up a 17 C43 with Burmeister sound system (garbage btw). But for some reason above 115km\h the bass cuts out completely. As soon as the speed drops below 115 it's back.
I also listen to an FM station and I noticed above 80km/h it cut out the bass today.
Wth is going on? I have the auto volume setting turned off.
And I'm interested to hear you say it's garbage. Reviews are very polarized, with car and driver saying it's one of the best on the market, and others saying it isn't very good. Personally I've owned Bose, Bang and Olufsen, Harmon Kardon, and now Burmester, and I find the Burmester to be quite nice (I'd say it's a bit better than Harmon Kardon and Bose, but not as nice as the Bang and Olufsen).

. That being said those findings certainly are disappointing, I'm glad mine came in a package though and weren't a specific option I paid for.
I think with the Burmester you get exactly what you paid for. Which is a decent factory system that performs adequately at typical listening volumes. As soon as you try to pump up the bass it's limits become obvious.

If radio only, then some sort of signal interference is present.

So weird. I may do a factory reset and see what happens
I have a feeling its either the head unit or something to do with some sort of noise cancellation system (my acura tl had a active noise cancellation mics that needed to be disconnected when I installed an aftermarket sub).
This is not the first car sound system that does this, I assume it might be some kind of amplifier overheating protection kicking in (?!). I don't have an explanation, I just wish it didn't happen.
obviously this is is just one of many Mercedes safety features to help you drive within speed limit 😁
