Diamond Grille AMG Badge

Does anyone have the part number for the AMG badge that goes with the diamond grille? I think it is 2058174901. I guess it looks like it covers part of a few "diamonds" and doesn't fit in cleanly between the center bar and the top diamonds below the center bar. I'm also a little unsure as to what it would screw into. It seems like the screw holes sort of align with the center silver line, but there aren't any screw holes in the center line and it looks like it would crack if you tried screwing directly into that.

Could someone with a C43 please take a look at how their grille badge is attached (what it is screwed into)?

Thanks, that's what I was looking for, but it is hard to see what those 2 bolts are bolted into. Do those go into the silver center bar? If so, I assume the C43 comes with the silver bar pre-drilled with holes for those bolts? The c450 center bar doesn't have any such holes on the bottom and it seems it would crack if you tried to drill into it.

It seems like 2 rivets into center bar. So you have to take off the grill all together and attach the badge to the center bar with screws or bolts, then reassemble it back.
Edit: i think you could actually pull off only the center bar, can do more pics tomorrow if u'd like

now you have me thinking.
i'm thinking of replacing AMG on the side from c450 to BITURBO and replace it with AMG C43 in the rear.
i mean it's the same car, same hp, same torque.
it's not poser if people cant tell the difference?

to each his own on these badging questions. i personally draw the line at changing the model name (c450 vs c43) and really any rear deck lid badging changes (adding amg, etc) besides debadging. but as everyone eventually says on this topic, it's your car, do what you like. the changed badging won't mean anything to 90% of people and some of the 10% familiar with the nomenclature will know that you added badges and judge on that.

slight offtopic: saw c180 rebadged to C63s on the back and V8 biturbo on sides, unfortunately wasn't fast enough to take a photo

The C43 AMG does have the 9g dual clutch transmission and the C450 the 7g? And some slightly different software stuff and apperently a different brake setup aswell...

Personally I wouldn't do it, you should be proud it's a C450 and those knowing the difference will judge you indeed. I personally don't like spending that amount of money on a car to be judged afterwards ;-)!

Ah another one of these threads.... Just never gets......actually yeah, it does get old.

I'm all about the to each their own mindset on this. Do what you want to YOUR car but be aware that you may and will most definitely be made fun of depending on the level of re-badging you do.

But to condemn people for adding an AMG badge to the back but adding one to the front on your own vehicle? Brilliant, just brilliant.

Some of my favorite comedy is when Dangerfield talks about his wife:

My fully spec'd car is just 10g from a base c63 and it has the PE so it basically sounds the same.

Anyone got the part number for the "c63" badge? I don't have enough dollers to get the "V8 Biturbo" though...

edit: I've changed my mind, I will break the piggy bank and opt for the "GT R" instead.
