Anyone with the OE Tune?
Just wondering how many of you have gotten the ECU tune from OE Tuning? I am thinking about getting it but haven't seen much feedback on it here.

I considered it, but ended up going with AMR. Highest power gains on the market:

Also, in my opinion, price should not be a huge concern when looking to modify a Mercedes..........we don't spend 60-70k on a sports car to cheap out on upgrades. Not to be taken offensively, I was just personally more concerned about the quality of the upgrade and gaining maximum performance.
Another aspect that I have noticed from my own experiences as well as friends that use AMR, the customer service and support is unmatched from any company I have ever dealt with. I just felt more at home with AMR than when I spoke to OE about the upgrade. Obviously, that is not a huge determining factor, but I thought it was worth mentioning.
Good luck to OP with whatever he chooses! As long as you are happy with the product and enjoy that car, that is all that matters.

I agree, AMR is the only company that I noticed smoothing out that dip in the torque curve.

This is exactly what I did. Plus I got downpipes (which evens the total power output when comparing AMR stage 2 and OE stage 2) and still came in hundreds of dollars lower than just the AMR tune*.
Our stock exhaust is sufficient for what our stock turbo's can flow. Skip the [AWE] exhaust. It's just for sound. Go with downpipes. You get a substantial power increase and an amazing sound.
*I also believe that when you're dealing with this type of car, cutting corners and being cheap is not the way to go in regards to modifications. I live my life by a few simple mottos. One of which is: "Buy nice or buy twice."
But another one is: "Don't spend $2 when $1 will do just the same."

Did you have any problems with emissions with your downpipes? Weistecs website says they may not be street legal so wasn't sure if that is just a boilerplate disclaimer or if there may be a possibility of having trouble getting my car inspected after doing the downpipes.
Luckily they're easy to swap. And luckily for me I have access to a 2 post lift so it's even easier.

Does anyone have any charts comparing the AMR/OE Stage 1 and stage 2 tunes? I searched but could not find this info. Based on everyone's suggestions, It sounds like AMR is the way to go if you are decide to stay stage 1 and OE If you decide to get downpipes/stage2.

OE Tuning C63 AMG
OE Tuning sale
We offer a once a year sale at the end of each year. There are some great deals we offer only during this period. We do not repeat these prices outside of our sale period. Sorry.

Good to know...I was not asking you to offer it outside of your yearly sales window. I was just curious since that is a huge discount compared to what I was quoted. I will plan on purchasing it then once I figure out which stage I want to go.
