in for answers. Mine is at 2700 miles. Will be getting there soon! I am assuming its a standard #2 oil filter socket and 13mm bolt drain plug. For the first one im gunna do drain method. Others I may get a mity vac and suck out the top.

there is nothing wrong with doing a break in oil change before 5k miles. after that 10k on a full synthetic is reasonable. Sooner if you hoon/track the car around. Make sure you are getting the special filter that is NOT paper. Paper oil filters should not be driven much more than 5k miles.

I did my first oil change at around 5000 KM. Used a topsider extractor to extract oil through dipstick (next time around I am going to do this and also unbolt from under the car to see if anything does come out). Used a Mann filter, I will probably go with a filter form Mercedes since its only 2 bucks more then the Mann was here in Canada.
