I just picked up my new obsidian black C43 sedan last week.
So far I'm enjoying it. My previous car was an E90 M3 so definitely different.
I've been into BMW for the longest time but I'm in love with the design language of the C class.
The first Benz I drove was my dad's charcoal 190E 2.3 Cosworth.

thanks guys! love the car. only thing i wish i had gotten is the PE. hopefully i can get it retrofitted. my car has premium, led and camera only. They didn't have a demo with PE and the car I test drove was standard and thought it sounded good already but damn PE is a beast lol drooling over it

 

Get the AWE touring exhaust, you will enjoy the cracks and pops in Sport+

 

Thanks for the recommendation. Wow I'm liking it I will probably go this route. The sound if very similar to the PE.

 

I've had the car now for a month. I even attempted to see if I can return/exchange it :p

I've bought couple of interior pieces... I've bought the classic oem all-season mats and trunk boot tub. I bought the oem sunshade which I had to order from ebay since its wasn't available in Canada... weird. The fitment was also weird, its too big compared to oem bmw weathertec made ones like that one just slides. This one you have to kind of fold the part close to the rearview mirror to get it over. I guess its good so it blocks more sun from entering.

I also bought a rear window sunshade from Groovy. I wish the C43 had the option to order the rear sunshade/rear door in Canada. I was hoping there was OEM rear door sunblinds that just snaps on around the door frame. I think previous C and E had them. I didn't buy the rear door sunblinds from Groovy since I didn't want to tape clips on the door frame. Hoping MB will release one but probably not. There was another option for rear door sunblinds from blinds4cars but haven't decided. I don't plan on tinting my car.

AMG said they don't allow retrofit now on the AMG PL due to complexity =(... I'm debating about AWE since some people say the pop and crackle comes from the ECU that makes the performance exhaust sound awesome but you will get them with AWE just not as goooood... hoping someone local has it so I can hear it.




What else happened since owning the C43...
I've had the pleasure of driving a cab 63s two weeks ago and OMGawdd that was awesome! The sound, the speed and the wheel spin from all that torque lol amazing. I've also had a 2017 or 2018 CLA250 as a loaner which was okay I've always wanted to drive one for fun. I brought in my car to the dealer to get my rear spoiler fix as the two ends were coming off. They replaced it and claimed the factory install was wrong but now I need to bring it back they scratched my trunk like crazy and the paint seems to have melted since they had to cut and polish to remove the old gunk and the install was off. Instead of it being flushed on the trunk its about 1-1.5 cm away from the trunk. I'm really sad about it. I wish I noticed all these before leaving but it was hot and bright and I needed to get someone so I left right away.

 

Hey bud, congrats on the new ride. Car looks amazing. I noticed you have two child car seats in the back. This is my only concern about the C43. I'm planning to order MY18 in the near future and i'm just hoping it's not too cramped in the back after installing two car seats. Mind providing me with some feedback? Would it be possible to take a few pics?

 

I've got two kids 6 and (Turning 2) in a few days. If you're trying to fit an adult back there in between the two kids, they better be really small adult. Otherwise my kids are fine i'd say. I also have the Perf seats though and those seats don't take up as much room as the standard seats. You'll be able to manage but not the ideal situation. Honestly my kids are barely ever in my car, they're usually in the GLS.

Thank you bud. I have a 1 year old and a 4 year old. Majority of the time they're in the MDX with my wife but there are those occasional pick ups from grandmas house. Those two seats fit perfectly in the back. Your amg seats look nice as well. Happy driving!

Thanks man. I have the Clek fllo and oobr installed. I will get try to get some pics. I use Diono ultra mat seat protector and Brica deluxe kick mat to protect my back seat

 

update: Got my car back from dealer on Aug. 5 and they got the body shop to fix my spoiler and remove the residue and clean up the scratches. My SA was great at helping.

Also I bought the AWE Tuning Touring exhaust and debating to go to a shop or wait for a friend to help me. Any hook ups or shop recommendation in Vancouver/Richmond area.
