Quick question, anyone know if the R01 summer performance tires are run-flats? I'm assuming so.

Any questions about the 18 c43 let me know ill be glad to answer.

All C43 tires are runflats. Even C300s are runflats.

The only difference will be if you either get the Pirellis or Continentals

Hopefully 3 weeks after build date, according to the dealer. Anyone else have some insight on delivery after build date?

Well, I can tell you our '18 sedan was ordered on March 26, built the last week of July, and is currently on a train (left on the 11th) to Chicago, before being transported by truck to the Milwaukee area. They say our estimated delivery date is Aug 29th.

I never knew trains ran at such a slow pace. Sounds like it will take 2 weeks for the train to get from Alabama to Chicago. Crazy.

Damn that's crazy. Prob one of those crazy freight trains that go pretty slow, plus it's gonna go through the processing center. I unfortunately have to wait longer than I thought. Dealer screwed up and caused my build to be delayed.

yeah 3 weeks after the "build date" would be surprising. Unless you're in alabama somewhere.

Well it's a coupe so it's being built in Germany which is even more of a reason it would take longer. But that's what the dealer is saying, 3-4 weeks.

Ah I saw the c43 C4 naming convention and thought that was 4 door. Probsbly means coupe 4wd.

If it’s Germany it’s moost likely not going to be 3 weeks from build date. Trust me I used to work for them there.

Not sure why they'd tell me that then. Prob figure I'd wait either way so just a selling gimmick lol.

they always tell you its going to take less time than it actually will.. a good dealer will say "it really depends, it can vary from X to Z"..

cars get built (it's probably done in Bremmen) and it can be a day or a week to get out and to port. Then it can be 10 days over the pond, then to probably an east coast receiving location. then it gets inspected, routed to wherever you are and that can take 3-10 days, then transport, then check-in and inspection at the dealer, then you get the car. Three weeks from build in the factory, IMHO and Exp is a real stretch.

The C43 is manufactured in Alabama. The first digit of your C43's VIN will be "5", which means it's made in the US. All German-manufactured AMGs will have "W" as the first VIN digit.

Sedans are built in Alabama, Coupes are built in Germany

From my experience of ordering cars, no matter where it's made, the total build time/delivery is very similar regardless or where it's built.
