machine the wheel to increase offset is a concept I have never considered.. so with a 38 offset I can hope to achieve a 43-45max?
Possible, but depends on how much material BBS gives after the ball seat countersink. Usually only 6-7mm for Euro made wheels in my experience. Check first.
So...after reading through this thread more than once I will be going with the 235/40-19 on an 8.5 rim up front and 265/35-19 on a 9.5 rim in the rear. The only issue I'm having is the ET.
I've narrowed it down to the Vossen HF-1 or HF-3. The fronts come in either +30 or +45 and the rears come +25, +35, or +45. Now I understand that the lower the ET the more it will poke out? I plan on lowering the car so I don't want the setup to poke out to far to avoid any rubbing issues.
From what I've read, +30 is the recommendation for the front. Since either of the rims are not available in +40 for the rear I'm assuming get the +45 and run a spacer?

Am I correct or not even close?
sounds good. +45 works without a spacer but lowered you might desire a slightly more aggressive look.
My set-up is +39 for the rear on 9.5 lowered with the same size tire
Looks good. I think that's about the furthest out we can go in the rear of a C43 sedan. Would you agree?
Does your car have the small plastic splash guards at the bumper/fender?
with this tire size on this width, yes. You can stretch more tire and go more aggressive. Also if you lower the car more than mine again you can squeeze a few mm's extra.

+35 would be better off on a 255. and you'd have to be really low to get more natural camber. My car is as low as I could go given it's DD'd hard. no issues with rubbing. I have less than a finger gap fender to tire.
+45 with a 3 - 5mm spacer is more ideal, honestly, as opposed to trying for the +35. And +45 works on stock height if you aren't doing it all in one go, whereas +35 at stock height is mexiflush.

After spending many years stationed in Europe I prefer the tucked in look. I'm not lowering at the same time I get the new rims/tires so I will see how it looks and go from there. I'm planning on the H&R springs, so not a massive drop.
Just wondering whether anyone has fitted 19x8 +35 with 235/40 on the front. I currently have the stock 225/40 fitted without issue but would like a meatier look. I noticed OP is running 19x8 +33 with 235/40, although seems that 2mm can make all the difference on these cars. My tyre fitter believes they won't fit.

Yes, 19x8 +35, with 235/40 will fit. If you’re not comfortable with the clearance, you can add a spacer. Hopefully, you already have 265/35 19 on your rears to match the f/r ratio.

I've been contemplating and reading through much of this post. I'm not completely new to fitment but from what I understand the inner spacing is tight on the C43. I come from the Subaru world where almost everything/anything would fit from a 5x144.3 bolt pattern lol.
2019 C43 with 19" OE alloys
Considering the following:
Rohana RC10
19x8.5 ET42 Front w OE rubber until they wear thin (225/40R19)
19x9.5 ET40 Rear w OE rubber until they wear thin (255/35R19)
The rear has ET47 option but I would prefer a bit more concavity if they fit.....

Stock height or not, the fronts will need at least a 12mm spacer. The rears at +40 should be fine. The only concern I really have is using the OEM tires (runflat). I suspect them to be too stiff and might possibly ruin your new rims if you get unlucky with even a small pothole.

this is accurate.
those wheels are also boat anchors if you care at all about performance. There is no reason to get anything short of a flow formed (often called a number of other terms) wheel in this day in age.
So you're suggesting for the front i should hunt for 19x8.5 ET30 range for a proper fitment? Am I understanding correctly?
Yes I know those are on the heavier side but so are many of the options out there. I don't feel like paying Vossen pricing and I don't want the exact same wheel as everyone else. Just trying to think outside of the box as long as fitment is acceptable. Are Ferrade FR4 any lighter? Can't seem to find weight specs anywhere...
I kind of miss being able to walk into my local wheel shop and having access to half the store lol.

Yes, +30mm is where you wanna start. Try looking at some Vertini wheels. Although I don’t have firsthand experience with their wheels, they do offer rotary forged (flow formed) at the same price range as those Rohanas you’re looking at, and they offer custom offsets. So, you can have it done at the offset you want.
Here’s a pic of one similar to the rc10.
Update: Returned the Niche Misano back to 1010tires as they really did fit as guaranteed. Thankfully they agreed and took them back even after they had been mounted and driven on for a few days.
After talking with my local shop about what possibilities I had for rims without spending $$$$$$, he got creative. Looking at the specs of the Neuspeed RSE10 he felt that it would work great, fit as I wanted plus they are light!!
Installed last week and I couldn't be happier.
A huge thanks to Alex at Tunerworks here in Calgary for sticking with it for me.
Quick iPhone pic from last night.
These are the Neuspeed RSE10 right? So i just purchased these for my C43 and i had an issue with my front rims. I got 19x8.5 and they dont fit my front center bores. The center Bore on the rims are 57.1mm and the bore on the car is 66.56mm. Did you grind it down?
Started looking into this brand i knew less about and i must admit that both the RFS 1.3 (black with dark tint?) and RFS 1.7 (bronze with polished lip) seems like very viable options
I'm thinking of getting a set of Rotiform BUC-M, the specs are 19x8.5 +45 all around, I understand that I will need spacers for the fronts and optional for the back depending how aggressive I want to go. My question is for the tires, should I do 245/35/19 all around or am I able to go with 245/35/19 fronts and 255/35/19 in the rears?
