Stop iphone from autoplaying

Hi all!

I have an iphone 7 and one of the little things that drives me crazy about using it with the C43 is that every time I plug it in, it automatically starts playing the first song (alphabetically) in my music collection on the phone. I also notice that if I am idling and watching videos, any time a video stops playing or is switching over to another video (youtube) that same stupid song autoplays in between.

Has anyone figured out how to stop this from happening by changing their phone or the car settings?

"Use bluetooth instead" isn't a great option as the audio is out of sync (delayed) with video and I tend to plug it in to charge.

Thanks!

There is no way to avoid this unfortunately. And it is more of an iPhone bug than command's. The only way to stop it is press the pause button in the Music app. If you stop it or close the app, it automatically starts again.

Solution is to just pause the music in the music app.

Thanks, I was afraid of that. I press pause now, but obviously that is a nuisance. Unfortunately the first song in my music library is this:

Santana - A1 Funk

No doubt they titled it that way for a reason. It kills me when I enter the car having left my volume up last time I drove.

Guess I can just add a really long silence track and name it _A1 or something.

You can change the iPhone setting to random play. That way at least it won't be the same song every time.

I was going to create one myself, but this makes it so easy I'll spend the $1. Done. Thanks!
