Black/silver Night Package Hood Emblem Badge for C300/400/450/43/63

Hello All

Just saw a cool cheap emblem mod on the c63 or e63 forum I believe.

If you have a black car with night package especially. This is a MUST HAVE mod IMO. if you have any other color night package, this could look cool. if you don't have a black car or night package, this may or may not look great but up to you.

I bought part number 000 817 1701 (0008171701) for $27 plus ship. ended up being like $34 shipped from one of the oem parts dealers online.

takes 1 minute (2 minutes if you clean off the area to be mounted) to install this badge. I will let the pictures speak for themselves. love this mod. make it look great and still oem. I think the badge is oem on the e63 night package.

Make sure it is clipped all the way in as I saw other members having issues. I found no issues clipping this in and it was a safe and secure fit with no hassle. Some on other cars were having issues fitting it, but my 2017 c43 had no issues installing. unclipped old one, re clipped new one in.

original blue emblem.

new black emblem next to original.

new black emblem next to original.

new black emblem next to original.

New black emblem installed.

New black emblem installed.

I agree. Looks great! I’ve been wanting to do this mod as someone else did it a bit ago in the picture thread. I think the Xpel wrap on my hood may prevent me from swapping it out. I’ve gotta take a closer look.

you should be able to put it on. i doubt the xpel is over the emblem. any good shop would wrap under the emblem.

Does this fit inside the stock recessed badge hole or does it just go on top of it?

I ask because it looks like it might be over it and seem a few mm larger.

I wanted an AMG affalterbach Badge but they don't make one to fit the C43, this one seems just as nice.

Thanks

its not bigger. its the exact same size as oem one. they just clip into the hole. sorry i didnt take rear or unmounted pictures.

but essentially there are 2 spring loaded tabs on the back. you compress them to take old one out. then to put new one in it just snaps in. its same exact size.

yes it fits in the recessed hole.

also they do make an AMG front badge. its the same one as the c63. it just costs like 150 or something crazy for the oem one.

Yes it does look great on your car, I am going to do this.

I appreciate the info on the AMG badge as well. I was not aware that the C63 came with that hood emblem

Thanks for the info

I just mentioned the badge at my dealership today. They gave me the black one free of charge and even swapped it out for me (even though a child could do it...lol) Looks great and I suggest anyone with the night package go and see about making this subtle change.
