Rimblades?
Hello, after having scuffed my alloy rims several times already, I am wondering if the Rimblades are a good product?
Do they look good on the vehicle and are they noticeable? I not trying to go for a custom look, Just want the protection form rim rash- so I would be going with silver to match the rim.
Thanks

I looked at these products a few times when I had my VW GLi and wanted to add the red ones. I looked at 2 different products. One uses an adhesive to attach to the flat rim of a wheel, and another requires the tire to be broken off the bead and the blade mounts on the rim, and then the tire is re-inflated. The requirements for the adhesive products need a 1/2" on flat rim surface for them to properly adhere, while the ones mounted under the bead didn't need those same tolerances.
FYI the black blend in and look like some extra tire (making your rims appear smaller), a silver one looks ehh. The best look IMO is if you are trying to add some color to contrast with the car. Red time attack wheels stripes are my favorite, but I don't know if I would do them on the Merc.

I have the rimblades from the UK. I love the look of them but not sure how effective they'd be for scuff's.

Yes on the Alloygator installation it showed the installer pounding them betwixed the bead, in an inflated tire with a large hammer.
That being said I appreciate your info and probably wont go with these. Especially since there are very few Alloygator dealers in US and they have to be professionally installed.
It does look decent in red though.
