2018 C43 Coupe, Iridium silver; 2017 GLC 300
Whats a reasonable discount off MSRP?

Have heard there is crrently a good incentive discount for dealers available from MB.

I was offered 8% off on a new factory order with my specs on a 2018 C43 coupe. (2 month delivery)
Is this a decent deal?

that would be an excellent discount, I think. Delivery time seems impossible in my experience.

Like the post above me - 8% is a good price - most people will tell you they got more on this forum but I hardly believe it. I think the 2 months is BS - expect more like 3+

I was able to swing almost 12% off a 2017 coupe that had been on the lot for about 3 months.
I was lucky to find the car optioned the way I wanted, and I was always willing to walk away.

I'm curious how you guys negotiate an aggressive discount on a special order, but well done & good for you!

A Paul Jakub, on another threaded just posted, claims he got 14% off on a special order.
Beats me how some are getting these deals.
Best my local dealership offered me on a 2017 Coupe on their lot was 3% plus over 3k dealership fees.
I walked.
Will look at dealers over the winter and will order if I can’t find what I want.
Hopefully get the same deals some here are claiming but will probably get 3% over Dealer Cost.

8% below is usually the invoice price. the only incentives the dealer has at this point is minimal margin and manufacturer kickback and volume incentives. most will barely sell at this price especially with a hard to get hot car like the amgs. only if they are desperate to get it off the lot will you see that low of a price.

anyone who gets greater than 8% is getting a deeper discount from mercedes corporate such as fleet, new student, any competitive conversion or lease renewal something like that. any manufacturer cash back pretty much.


dont believe some of the 20% stories unless they wernt told it was the loaner car or something like that.

Uzona, I spent quite a long time trying to analyze pricing for the 2017 model and received quite a few quotes. 8% is a good and fair discount I believe. I had a guy who would only give me 5.6% after the car had been out for 8 months! I think it varies dealer to dealer, and how often you buy from that dealer. But, 8% is a fair discount on a brand new order.

i got 6% on a 2018 C43 Cabriolet new to dealer stock. Car built in 7/2017 in Baden. thought it was a decent price and I did not negotiate because I was told it was a 'no haggle' price. I am in the Dallas area.

I got around 5% off on mine. This is definitely a good price. Their margin is 8% on the Cab I'm told.

Soon to have a C43
I just found this one. I'm not even sure what to ask at this point. So are you guys saying take 8% off of MSRP? I'm a newbie and will soon be an owner of a C43 but I'm not even sure what to expect. I am planning to lease, 15k miles/year and at least 3 years.

So I should be able to walk out with a total price 8% less than the Total?

I think the amount of discount depends on where you are doing business.
But generally it seems like ~ 5-8% is the sweet spot, if you can get more then even better!

I placed a special order for my 2018 C43 Coupe, which I will be taking delivery on Nov. 3rd.
I live in San Francisco Bay Area and was able to negotiate for 5% discount.
I'm happy w/ 5% considering that it's much harder to negotiate for larger discount here in the Bay Area, let alone special order & for an AMG product.

Best of luck to those currently negotiating! Aim for more than 8% discount, expect 5-8%

I got 8-9% last week on my 2018 coupe (off-the-lot, shipped to me from another dealer). Don't think there was any way I could've gotten more than that, at least for someone of my negotiating caliber. Anything above 6% you should be happy with

For mine, there is no pricing announced by MB other than the estimated prices on the order guide subject to change. So my contract says ... here is the model and options I want, here is the cost we anticipate, the end cost will be based on final prices issued by MB, here is the dealership discount __%, the residual value for lease will be whatever it is at the time of delivery, the money fact will be our buy rate from the dealer plus __%. That about all we could do without set MB prices, MF, residuals, etc. Further, delivery is what it is. I have a scheduled production date and estimated delivery, but its all subject to change.

I wouldn’t buy from a dealer who’s messing around with the money factor. Unless you have a mediocre credit score you should be getting buy rate. I have never let a dealer bump me on the MF. Oh and if that’s the only way the dealer will work the deal make sure your deposit is 100% refundable. If there is any clause in the buyers order about Special Orders not being refundable walk away

10% off from msrp is the max you can get realistically speaking. Most of them will give 5%.
