Replacement tire talk
I need some help on getting a replacement set of tires for my OEM 19s. The car came delivered with Pirelli P Zero Nero run flats. They are loud, drive harsh, and burned up very quickly. They also cost $300+ each.
I have already come to the decision that I will not be getting run flats again. I am having trouble deciding on what Tirarack is recommending. Continental Extreme Contact all season ultra high performance are priced Right at $725 set of 4. Pilot Sport AS 3+ are $1000. The Pilot Supersport summers at $1000.
I don't track the car, and winter driving is inevitable even though I have the Jeep. Am I going to lose much performance with one of those all seasons?
Seeing as the number 1 complaint about this car has been the tires, let's use this thread to list what tires you went with, and how they are living up to expectations.

I went with Pilot Sport AS+ 3’s and I’m very happy. I live in Nj and have to deal with snow on occasion but like you I have other transportation for bad days. The difference in ride quality compared to the Pirelli runflats is night and day. Now every little bump doesn’t sound and feel like I hit a pothole. I paid $890 shipped from tirerack. I had the continental all seasons on my s5 and was happy with them also. Don’t think you can go wrong with either if you’re going the all season route.
On another note... I have a like new (less than 100 miles) Pirelli runflat front tire that I purchased from the dealer for a ridiculous $400! If anyone is interested in a spare pm me. I’ll give it to you for cheap.

The continentals are amazing for an all season. But the PS4S is pretty much the best street tire you can get.
If you cannot avoid driving in anything worse than snow cleaned roads at 30-45 degrees, then get the all seasons.

2017 C43 Coupe
It's time for me to get 4 new tires. Until this c43 coupe, I've never had runflats and I've never had a flat tire/used the spare in all of my other cars. I live in Florida and snow is not an issue. So I'm thinking of getting the Michelin Pilot Sports. Any reason not to?

One more for the Pilot AS 3+. Didn't expect it to make as much difference as it has. No noticeable difference in handling from the performance run-flats. Keeping a repair kit in the trunk for small punctures. Right around $1000 installed. Keeping the Continental OEM summers for end of lease if I don't buy the car.

btw, what’s in your repair kit? I was told fix a flat could damage the TPMS (tire pressure monitor).

I got the Slime repair kit. Had not heard that it might damage the tire pressure monitor, but in the rare case of a flat that I could fix (and not having a spare) I'd risk it. Will look into it now that you mention it, though.
