Calipers: paint vs powder coat

hello my amg brothers
looking to get my calipers painted and wanted some advice. Do I go with powder coating or liquid paint, not looking to do either as a diy project.
also some advice on the colour , thinking either red or black . Red because it's simply sexy or black, considering the black to match and accent the all black exterior of the car i have now (night package and AMG package multispoke 19's)

I've used paint in the past. It has worked well but powder coating is definitely the way to go for longevity and quality.

I've been doing a bit of research here as well. My take is that with powder coat you'll definitely get a better quality product/finish over all, but it needs to be done correctly, so it will cost a lot more. Generally for painting, people will keep the brakes assembled and on the car, just taping appropriately. For Powder coating you will need to remove everything, including the pistons and the rings. I'm no brake expert, but that sounds like a lot of labour costs

I'm prob just going to paint mine unless the cost of doing a proper powder coat is close enough to painting (doubtful)

Thank you guys for your input and knowledge
i decided to get them painted at a shop in Toronto , went in person and spoke to the shop owner today , turns out to paint all 4 calipers will only cost me 200$.
To clean and sand off all rust, paint and amg decals only 200. From what iv seen this guy has made a name for himself doing caliper work in other shops before starting his own. I'll post pictures of the finished product tommorow.
Still in a dilemma for the colour,
posted a pic for reference cant choose between the two

Update

had the calipers painted today, took about 2.5-3 hours but well worth the wait. Spence tire at Toronto did a great job, nice owner too he cleaned the calipers and rotors thoroughly and sanded the calipers down before applying the paint. Got decals on the front and rear calipers. Cleaned my rims too inside and out. All for 250$CAD !
Keep in mind pictures are with an iPhone 5,
but high quality pictures coming soon

Just a couple of things here. Do the red calipers on the C63s come factory painted or Powder coated? Is powder coating really that much better when it comes to coloring calipers, I mean I am sure the paint would be pretty tough also, if it is clear coated several times like it should be. I haven't had much problems over the years with painted rims chipping.

Also I am thinking with powder coat you will not have some of the amazing colors that you can get with paint, especially some of the Candy colors I have been looking at lately.

I believe the factory calipers are Brembos which are painted, but a little more rigorously than would otherwise be done. They are primed, have a polyurethane color coat, and then an acrylic top coat, with stops in the oven along the way.

Plenty of people have had good results with paint if it is done right, with proper prep and application. It still is more prone to chip or fade than powdercoating, but doesn't mean you won't be happy.

You can powdercoat any color under the sun, with some amazing candy colors.
