Recommended packages?

Hi,
I'd lke to get your views on your recommended packages. It seems hard to find a car with Driver Assistance Pckg. what are your thoughts on this one?
I was thinking:
lighting package
multimedia pckg
driver assistance pckg

plus
performance exhaust.

Thoughts?

You pretty much have all of the good packages covered.

1. Night package?
2. Burmeister sound package if that exists?

When most people see this they will probably say your number one option should be performance exhaust, and they aren’t wrong.
My big 3 were
1. Performance Exhaust
2. Premium 2 Package (particularly for the upgraded screen display and interior ambient lighting which has changed now slightly)
3. AMG Performance Steering Wheel

side note, get the wheels and color you want if you can.

Personally, I️ don’t put any value on parking assist, driver assist, etc. type stuff. Cars drove fine for years before this and I️ think I’ll let my brain figure out how to park and back out. All personal decisions but since you asked, I️ threw in my two cents. Cheers!

Thank you! I've heard about the premium 2 package, but was not able to find it on the build your own section on their website... What does it include exactly?
Thanks for your views on the driver assist etc. I mean my car now is a 2010 bare bones stick shift bimmer coupe and it doesn't even have bluetooth but I was thinking that it may be good to take advantage of technology, especially for safety reasons..

Certainly, and that’s not to say those aren’t very helpful, safe, and useful. I️ have just found that I️ dont value it as much. If that is something you value, then by all means it’s a great package.

And as to your our point about the 2010 beem, you could kind of visualize how you used to drive and how those packages may help you to rationalize that cost

to the OP, depending on if you're buying (vs leasing) the car, and how long you intend to keep the car. The options you add to the car may help to sell it later. Just something else to think about.

In Canada, where I live, the Burmester sound system and sunroof come standard.

Also, here they call it Intelligent Drive, make sure you get that. It has all of the safety feature, really cool. The performance exhaust is cool too.

I passed on the HUD, had it my C400 but didn't bother this time around.

The automatic parking thing is utter garbage.

90% of the time it doesnt come on or detect the parking space you are trying to enter

5% of the time it suggests a parking space that doesnt exist (I am waiting at a red light and it is asking if I want to park perpendicularly into the curb in front of a bus)

5% of the time the parking motion suggests that, unless I hit the brakes, it will hit the cars next to me.

Just do not get it. Its useless. I have not used it successfully even once.

Bro, that parking space is like a mile long. My DOG could park in that space.

I also completely deeply regret not getting Burmester in my car. I picked my car by VIN Number and Color (we are superstitious) and thus did not have the upgraded stereo option.

I've had no issues with any of the self-driving features in the Intelligent drive/driver assistance package. Perhaps your dealer could help you.

Made a mistake earlier, the sound system is included the premium package.

My car has intelligent drive, premium package, and AMG package (19" tires, performance exhaust). I don't regret anything.
