C43 Offset
Hey everyone,
I am looking to purchase some BBS CI-R rims for my 2018 C43 and have been getting a lot of mixed information from dealers. Some say they won't fit, another one said they will with a $300+ install kit and another wasn't sure (email from them)
"...I’m not too sure if the front 225 tires will fit the 8.5” perfectly or it will be a bit stretched. I’d consult with Mercedes on the offset though, since the 19x8.5 is 45mm offset and the 19x9 is 42mm offset"
Currently have:
225/40R19 on the front
255/35R/19 on rear
Do any of you know the offset numbers that will work?
Thank you for any information you guys can share.
Gabe

2021 Mercedes C63s AMG Coupe
8.5J 30ET front
9.5J 40ET rear
225 40 19 will work on 8.5J
255 35 19 will work on 9.5J
If you get the above rim spec, you can upsize to 235 and 265 respectively as well.
This fitment should be very good.

BBS offer a built in spacer that is very convenient to change the effective offset. I would never pay $300 for it.
There are so many recommendations for good fitment in that thread, if you don't understand fitment, in general, that's another story.

245 in front... I dont think that 255 would make such a difference to look like ATV

running a 255 upfront, that is not mexiflush, is not plug and play on this car and nobody has done it properly under the OEM fenders.

Would 8j et44 front +15mm spacer and 9j et42 rear work? I’m in the same boat as OP. I’ll be lowering on hr vtf springs. I’m getting mixed answers.

Sorry to be updating this old thread, but after searching and reading, I'm still none the wiser. Seems like lots of contrasting opinions and views.
I too am looking to fit some new BBS CI-R wheels on my 2018 plate C43 saloon.
I don't care about the tires as I'll be buying an entirely new set, but can someone recommend me the best 19" wheel sizes to get in order to keep things as simple and as flush as possible for both front and rear, ideally without the need for much or any additional work, spacers, fixtures or time. I will be keeping suspension etc stock.
I'm thinking I need the following:
Front:
2x BBS CI-R - 8x19 ET44 5x112 82
2x Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 235/40 (or 35) ZR19 96Y
Rear:
2x BBS CI-R - 9x19 ET42 5x112 82
2x Michelin Pilot Sport 4S 255/35 ZR19 96Y
Or one of the following
2x BBS CI-R - 8.5x19 ET32 5x112 82
2x BBS CI-R - 8.5x19 ET45 5x112 82
Appreciate any advice.

I think it’s pretty clear, hardly conflicting at all, just need to read it through properly, you’ll find your answers there.

My clarification was on which set up would require the least amount of effort and change, whereas some appear to be going wider than perhaps ideal etc.

something to consider as well. fitment heavily depends on ride height, are you lowered? as well as personal preference and individual vehicle tolerances. some people like more aggressive so some will say a lower et looks better while others, like myself, prefer a more conservative fitment. the thread should give you a rough idea of where to start and you can dial in from there.

It's not really clear at all, at least not to people who are new to this sort of thing, hence the OP didn't understand either since several people in that thread and this one have been recommending different sizes etc.

any debate going on there is about the outer limits which should not concern you if you can't make heads and tails of fitment.
