its sad because there is a market for this. I was an early adopter and got my c400 in August 14. Been dying to upgrade the turbos for something with a billet wheel etc...

The turbos have been ready since we posted this, the tune was done quite a while ago, we have been waiting on the customer, who needed his car back to get us the final DYNO numbers with his current set up. As he works in Coal and Minning, he is onsite for long periods at a time. We expect to see 470s on pump gas and over 500WHP with water meth. Without the final DYNO#s, we haven't had anything to announce or release as we always release our parts with DYNO proof That being said, we can recreate this at anytime. We have had multiple customers want to do the same, but no one has taken the jump to do it.

Hey Turbokits.com, been trying to get ahold of AMR about coordinating everything. Not sure if Matt is still working there. No response from them about doing the work.
Will try to call them this week and get ahold of somebody.

Wanted to know how turbokits.com turbos are compared to Weistec’s new release W205 turbo upgrade for the C450/43?
Definitely a big price difference but no actual numbers either.
Thanks guys!

Yeah, try giving Matt a call. I just talked to him this AM. In regards to the turbos, there is only soo much material that is available in the housings for larger wheels. So as a stock form factor turbo replacement. They are all going to be about the same really as we can only go as large as the housings will allow. On our end the turbos come with a complete bearing structure rebuild, balancing, porting, etc. So we do a lot to the turbos to maximize flow and when you get them out of the box, they look brand new and for all intent and purposes they are as good as new. What it comes down to is who tunes it and how you trust the tuner. We choose to continually work with AMR as their head tuner our our beliefs align. Why remove and turn off Millions of Dollars of MB R&D in the ECU logic just to hit a peak HP# (I'm not saying other tuners do that, but we know AMR does not). We believe in working around the safety set by MB so they stay in place along with substantial gains and the best drivability out there. We strive to create build/tunes that make it seem like it came from the factory with that power

Thanks for the feedback, makes sense.
Matt from AMR did also just send me an email; so I'll give him a call to talk about the project.
Snow performance Stage 4 versus Stage 2? Any preferences or better gains with tuning with one versus the other? Seems like if the ideal tune is in play then the flexibility of the Stage 4 program with H20-Meth throughout the power band would be the best.
But then again what do I know.?? LOL

Thanks again!

Yes the stage 4 adds more tuning capability but also more tuning complexity. So the stage 4 if you want to tackle the extra set up, yes will work best.

Appreciate the feedback, spoke with Matthew from AMR today. Great conversation and just waiting now to review pricing and if their shop has an open availability.

That's great news. Looking forward to someone running this setup....10s in the quarter no doubt, it's just a matter of how low the ET can go and how high the trap will be ....

^ come on guys, you two always troll AMR posts. They have put out some very stout tunes, as have your beloved Eurocharged boys. Let's try and have a bit more meaningful posts in this thread, OP, what are the stock turbo flow rates, and what are expected numbers with the increase?

This is a TurboKits.com thread and I don’t have an EC tune btw.

Let’s be realistic here, this thread is almost a YEAR old now. I don’t recommend a turbo upgrade, I’ve heard too many rumors about weak connecting rods, but if you want them, Weistec has them for sale on their website.

Valuable insight! Where did you hear that? Can you share some details? I'd imagine the stock bottom ends could handle a lot more power but I may be wrong.

searching for a c43 sedan
What were the results of this? What needs to be done? upgraded fuel system (larger injectors, fuel rails?)

Curious how much power these motors can put down reliably, nothing too crazy.

The dude that has them and has been running them for some time now apparently works on the moon. We don't really know when he'll come back to Earth in order to simply throw the car on the Dyno and show us plebians what these can do.

Check the thread man, it's been over a year and nothings been done.

GLC 43 dude following along for a year now. I'm pretty much out of things to do to mine, but definitely need more. Doesn't even excite the wife anymore, but it looks like I'll probably be in a 63 before this ever has a price tag. Apparently not enough of us want it or something.

Rod is a problem⋯⋯

The inventory engine is potentially dangerous!
I hope I can have 10s.
But........ I don't think the car can be used for a long time.....

Yes👍👍👍

Turbocharging system AR value change is very difficult
The flow rate is too large with the blade angle, and the relative power amplifier can't keep up! Will only bring extra burden⋯⋯
A lot of stock restrictions

Yes the original tester has gone ghost. We have a new test car that should be bringing the car up to AMR soon. He has another thread started as well about the build.

CPC Must be adjusted

I keep the attitude towards upgrading the turbine!
The inside is a weakness! Must follow cpc change! The price is too high

We have 3 customers with these turbos in hand. One customer is still building his motor, etc (not mandatory, but he is going to push the absolute limits), the other customer is working on getting us a DYNO chart and the first customer to test it, he disappeared. Anyone local that wants to get these upgraded, let us know, we'd gladly work with them on a cost advantage for us to have the car to do all of the testing!!
