NEED BRAKES REPLACED AT 6,500 Miles
Went to the dealership because my brakes were squeaking. Dealership calls me stating both my front and rear pads are between 3-4MM and need to be replaced. I only have 6,500 miles on my car. I have service included but they're telling me brakes aren't included in the prepaid maintenance. Dealership wants about $650 to replace the brake pads. I told them that it should be covered under warranty but they stated since there is no cracks or signs of damage that it could not be replaced under warranty.

it definetly seems pretty quick given the milage, but the all the driver aide systems use the brakes to correct. so the brakes nnaturally wear faster, but i still honestly dont know how people go through brakes and tires so fast. ive tracked my car daily driven etc have 11k miles and brakes look very healthy still on both sides front and rear. tires are getting worn, but still not dead or close to it. i think it really comes down to how you drive.
id just do the brakes your self. pretty easy job on the front, the rear is more difficult but very similiar to a traditional brake job with floating calipers.
OEM pads alone are like 140 for all 4 corners i believe. rotors are like 120 each for front and 50 each for rear i think. if dealer is just replacing pads, id save yourself the money and do it yourself. the fronts are cake.
