Buyers Remorse - Just purcahsed 2018 C43 Coupe

Would be interested to hear from those that have purchased a 2018 C43 Merc Coupe and how they adjust to the fact that the newest C43 Merc Coup 2019 is almost out?

The cockpit and minor cosmetic changes are a thing of beauty, I had little choice I needed the car paid and delivered before June 30th.

**** happens. I guess I cant see any pros, but a lot of cons.

I know its first world problems. Like someone complaining that their metallic paint isnt shiny enough lol.

The pro is you got a great discount (hopefully). The 2019 model should sell closer to sticker at launch and have a higher money factor that the 2018. That is the reason I waited for the 2019 announcement before leasing my 2018 model and used that as a negotiating tactic.

Got my '18 43 coupe last Jan. and Loove it. The speed, sound, and style are awesome. Got I.silver with sport exhaust. Would not have changed for the '19 if had to wait sooo long, not to mention the deal I got on a special order.
The '19 front end looks ALOT like my '17 GLC suv. Not impressed.
The other minor changes re not impressive to me either. If you are getting at least 8-10% off msrp on the '18, go for it!

Timing is everything. It’s a bit of a ****ty situation but if you had deadlines to be in a car, then you picked a great option! Hope you got a decent deal on it with the 2019’s in production.

Enjoy the car

The front end of the outgoing model is much better than the 19.

would be nice to have the latest and greatest....but that's always the case. The car you purchased still has all of the things that it did when you purchased it. Enjoy it, and when it's time to get a new car hopefully it has all the new bits that you currently covet.

Depends on how much you paid. If you didn't get at least 8-10% off the MSRP then yeah, buyers' remorse for sure.

Bro..ill save you the grief....The 2018 and 2019 aside from the digital dash, which is an option from what I hear, the performance is probably the same. Even if the 2019 really makes 23hp more than the 2018 (which, on this forum, has been highly debated if this is even true) will not make a world of difference and is unlikely you will even notice since the torque figures are the same and achieved at the same rpms.

Take the discount you got on your 2018 and be happy with it. I guarantee the same people who ordered a 2019 will be feeling the same as you are right now once they announce that there will be a 2020 C53.

The cycle never ends. You can get an older model for cheaper, or a new model for more money.

And every car will be the in the middle of "well they will have a new model announced next year" or "this model is already 2-3 years old, should I wait?" or "I dont want a 1st year model, Ill wait for the refresh" or "The refresh is more expensive, Ill pickup a pre-facelift for cheaper"

Its never ending bro. Dont worry and just be done with it.

This. If I got like 10% off or more on the older model, I honestly could care less that the 2019 was around the corner.

Be happy

ive ordered a 2019 c43 coupe build date 8/3/18
today I read about Mercedes copyrighting “c53” so I suspect soon the c 43 will be no more and they will shoehorn a 48 volt with 429 hp into the engine bay. Do I have remorse ? No I need a car in sept. Be happy with what you’ve got. There will always be something over the horizon.
