Just looking for ideas on which cell hone mount works with our car.

Only thing I don't like is the kind that are mounted in the air vents other than that I am open to all options.

I use a ProClip that mounts on side of center console. They are not the cheapest, but I find it works very well. There are 3 different clips for the C class based on material in center console.

I've used iOttie Easy One Touch mount. Easy to mount your phone and take off with one hand. If you use their windshield mount it is very sturdy and sticks really well.


I think I saw another thread on here, where someone used a Koomus Magnetic CD mount and was able to wedge it between the speedometer and the screen. Looked very low key and your phone would be in a good line of sight. Wouldn't have to take your eyes off too far off the road to check your phone.
Good option if you don't want anything sticking or hanging from your windshield.

It does not really interfere with passenger leg room. To me the small sacrifice in passenger leg room, is much less important than having a windshield mount in my visibility.

I was thinking of placing a magnetic one on the lower middle console. (involves also attaching a magnet to the back of the phone)

Does anyone see any postives or negatives to this? I have carbon fiber in the middle, so the sticky adhesive wouldnt damage I would think like if it was attached to wood if you decided to get rid of it.

I like that, its a pity that it didnt come standard.

No biggie though, I just bought a slim line wireless charger and placed it where the drink holder used to be. Similar elegant solution.

I was planning a drive across Canada from Toronto to Vancouver and wanted to ensure that I had a sturdy place to secure my phone. After reviewing the posts on this forum I decided to install the ProClip in my C43. Happy to report that after 5000km it was exactly as advertised. Doesn't affect the leg room for the passenger and is securely in place. Leaves the vents free and doesn't obstruct the dash. Arrived quickly and installed easily. A little more expensive than some other mounts but worth it. Thanks everyone for steering me in the right direction!
