Arrived - MY2019 C43
Hi all, it seems I might be one of the first forum dwellers to receive my facelifted C43, which arrived today so thought I’d post some pics and initial thoughts ..
Firstly he car drives incredibly, the gear box is responsive and the turbos and 4matic work well. My last performance car was an E93 M3 (naturally aspirated V8) and this feels nearly as ready to go.
Internally Its really comfortable and tech is nice especially the drivers assistance pack which is great for traffic..
Few things I would liked to be better
- The burmester sound system feels under powered lacking clarity
- It’s seems like there isn’t one button to skip tracks while in navigation, which is a bit annoying.
- There’s no tv function, even through the brochure clearly said it did come with it. I have spoken to the dealer about this and they’ve said it was mistake in the spec. I wonder if there’s any benefit to complaining to Mercedes directly?
Otherwise really pleased, need to find a way to stop putting it in sports plus !!

Nice! I would agree with you on Burmester...my pre-facelift 205 seems to have some clarity issues as well. I installed an additional subwoofer for a little extra punch, which is nice, but the speakers always seem to have some rattle or distortion in them when certain frequencies are played. Sometimes it comes from the rear speakers, sometimes from up front near the infotainment screen. Either way, it's really annoying and is just trashy for a vehicle like this.

so im thinking of getting a mobile car washer to come and use mz own products, bought some dr beasley products today

I've never personally had to care for a Magno paint, but if I did, the first thing I'd be doing as an owner would be having a top-end PPF installed.

was thinking this but tbh I got it as a 2 year lease then will look to upgrade , so not as bothered, will get it regularly cleaned in the mean time

Yes, how is the exhuast note? Car looks beautiful and love the rear view.
How are you enjoying the interior and digital cluster? - One thing I wondered, can you put the map as a full screen in the digital cluster like the Audis?

Hadn’t heard the prefacelift properly, but this one is definetly nice! Not deep like a v8 but has a roar. I’m not a fast driver but have kept turning on the sport plus to hear the exhaust. Also has those nice pops when reving. Will try and post a vid.
one thing is I can’t seem to rev to get the exhaust going when in park or neutral or stationary . It seems to stop me at higher rpm ?? Maybe this is to protect the engine or I haven’t got it in the right mode? But in motion it revs like normal/ a beast

and I was hoping the digital display like Audi would show the nav maps and it does 👍 pretty cool can have in the centre or right

I hope the exhaust hasn't drastically changed from the pre-facelift. I heard that the '19 models have a new filter which helped with emissions at the cost of a quieter exhaust note.

It’s really quite easy to take care of. Much easier than my black c43 was. I wash my car on my own with Dr Beasley’s stuff. In between washes I use the final finish and if i’m In a rush I just use the waterless wash. My car stays clean!

Thanks, have been concerned about the paint, hopefully dr Beasley will do the trick. I bought the c class over the e class because of this paint colour 😄

Haha hadn’t got round to posting this, wasn’t sure it did it justice limited to 3/4k rpm. Sounds much better in motion! will try to take one of those vids at some point
