C43amg how to reset oil change indicator
I have tried this:
Trip indicator
Hold phone answer, phone hangup, OK at same time
I get loud "clang" but no change in DIC indicator
How do I reset oil indicator in the C3amg?

1. Turn the ignition to position 1 (one position before starting the engine).
2. Press the system selection button (house icon located on the left of the steering wheel) repeatedly until the menu item TRIP is highlighted in the multi-function display. Within 5 seconds, press the OK button.
3. Press and hold phone button and then within 1 second press and hold down the OK button. Hold for 5 seconds then the workshop menu will be displayed "Vehicle data, Dynamometer Test, Change Brake Lining, ASSYST PLUS and Head-up Display".
4. Press the DOWN arrow repeatedly until ASSYST PLUS is highlighted and confirm with the OK button.
5. Press the DOWN arrow to highlight FULL SERVICE and confirm with the OK button.
6. Press the DOWN arrow repeatedly until CONFIRM SERV is highlighted and confirm with the OK button.
7. Specifiy engine oil used with the UP arrow and confirm with the OK button.
8. Press the DOWN arrow repeatedly until YES is highlighted and confirm with the OK button.
9. Press the DOWN arrow repeatedly until CONFIRM is highlighted and confirm with the OK button. "Full service completed" appears in the multi-function display.
10. Press the BACK (curved left arrow) button repeatedly until the standard display (total distance) appears in the display.
11. Turn the ignition off and then start the engine to verify the indicator has been reset.
*Close all doors, windows, hood and trunk when performing reset

As I was experimenting with the buttons....when I did one of the procedures that didn't work I would get a loud "clang". Does that have. any meaning?

C43Ayemgee was very helpful and what he told me worked on my c43amg. The START button, like the KEY, has three positions. If you push the START button or turn the KEY one position, that is where you want to be to do the reset. Is this confusing?

Yes. If with key, go to position 1....don't step on brake or anything else. If with button, push once...don't step on brake or anything else.
