Do you guys get the wipers from the dealer or aftermarket? When I tried doing some research it seemed like it's hard to find any good wiper compatible with the w205, and the blade holders are different from year to year. I'm asking because I really need new wipers but the dealership said it'll be almost $90 for them to replace them, which seems excessive. I have the 2018 sedan.

I saw a car gadget which enables you to cut a thin strip of the rubber part of the blade to make it "like new".

I just ordered the Bosch OE Aerotwin wipers - hopefully they won't chatter like the MB OEM blades.

if you have the prepaid maintenance package they change the wiper blades at the 10k service! They changed mine and I didn’t even use them once!

These do not chatter and are perfect

You will need to ask your local trico dealer if they can also get their hands on the adaptor called TMB-01

The Aerotwin that I just bought was 38 dollars for a 2 pack - significantly cheaper than dealer prices. We will see if they don't chatter.

Let me know how the Aerotwins work, $38 sounds a lot better than what the dealership was asking.

Yep will do. A C43 Facebook group member from Germany said the Aerotwins don't chatter and seem better than OEM .Even though Bosch do indeed make the OEM's, it sounds like a Mercedes only rubber formula from what I gather. Versus the aerotwin line is mass produced for the general public .
I am hoping and counting on them not to chatter, as I have been living thru chatter for 2 years now. My 2017 c300 coupe , then my c43 Coupe I got in April. It is very annoying!!

I took my 2017 C300 coupe to dealership 3 times for the chatter problem:

1. They adjusted the wiper arms and cleaned windshield - did not chatter for a few days then came back

2. They replaced the blades and cleaned windshield - did not chatter for a few days then came back

3. They deep cleaned the windshield - did not chatter for a few days then came back.

I am 100% convinced it is the wiper rubber. I got my 2018 C43 Coupe in April and chattered right away . Haven't gone to dealer, but I did get my windshield covered with Clear Plex - and STILL chatters! So that tells me it's the rubber from the blades as now the windshield glass is totally different material now. That is why I haven't even bothered to take it dealership as they will probably blame the Clear Plex. So now my fingers are crossed that Aerotwin will be chatter free! I will post an update to this thread when I try them . They shipped today!

Someone with more knowledge and experience may want to chime in here, but I think you should be using them at least occasionally. From my experience those kind of things break down when they never are used.

My C43 had wiper chatter for the first few months I owned it, but it went away. I heard it was due to coating that's on the windshield from the factory, which seemed to be the case for mine. I guess it is the wipers for yours if you went through all that though. Weird how Mercedes can't seem to get wipers right..

The Bosch Aerotwins came in yesterday and installed them .They are a perfect fit, go right on!

i washed the AMG and had the hose running on the windshield and simulated rain and no chatter! Very smooth! I also let them run completely dry for about 2 minutes and did not chatter at all either.

Also - they are noticeably different. Like I said, even though Bosch makes the OEM's, it is a different style and the rubber seems a little different as well.

I got the aerotwins installed today, they seem to work better than the stock ones. One thing to note is that if you follow the instructions in the owner's manual to replace the blades you'll break them. The manual shows a procedure where you rotate the blades before sliding the mechanism that holds them on, but all you need to do is slide it. I followed this video:

It's supposed to rain here every day next week, so these should be broken in pretty soon!

Thanks Kevin! I actually did the same thing, followed that you tube video instead of MB's instructions. Got them on very easily!

Let us know how it performs in consistent rain, since I just tested mine without rain so far.

Just installed these on my coupe, far less 'judder' than the stock wipers and work just as well at clearing water.

Part number for RHD cars is 3397009844.

I've been having the wipers skipping issue with my car since late summer. Dealer did what they could but it didn't fix anything. Just tried a pair of wipers from Aliexpress and it's been really quiet. No more skipping so far. Will test our the durability through the fall/winter. This is the one I got. Wipers. You have to select the 5th box which is for W205 22".

These from AliExpress, do you need an adapter? Or do they go right on? How long does shipping take to come to the US (looks like they ship from China) and how fast do they ship once ordered?

Thanks.

hey just sent you a PM. No need for adapter, exactly like OEM. Took about 10 days with the upgraded shipping (EMS Packet I think).

Unfortunately after a few pretty heavy rainy days, my Aerotwins are beginning to chatter/judder/make noise.

Still are better than the OEM, but I know at the end of the day the Aerotwins are also Bosch as well.

It is very frustrating that there isn't an easy solution for this. I did order the ones from AliExpress so hopefully this will solve the problem for good. These are a totally different brand, so hoping this does the trick!

I haven't had any juddering issues with the stock or the aerotwin wipers in months. When the car was brand new I did have issues with the stock wipers juddering but they went away eventually, I think due to some factory windshield coating wearing off. I do have a little issue with the aerotwins squeaking when they come to a stop, but I think that will go away once they're broken in a bit more too.

That is a good observation - mine do squeak a little when stopping and the juddering is minor . Tolerable vs OEM.

I will continue to use them until my china/AliExpress ones come in.
