How many of you intend to buy the wheel insurance they offer? With all of the products they offer to make your car more expensive, this is the only one that could make any sense at all to me. If anyone here has selected it, what did it run you?

The dealership keeps insisting I get it, but I'm not going for it. I did get the 18in wheels though.

Not sure unfortunately told them I had no interest so they didn't pursue it.Originally Posted by merlin3008

Depends on where you live. I know someone in the NYC area who got five wheel/tires fixed..

If you plan on sticking with OEM, I would recommend it for sure. I always read that these finance packages are scams but this one is the real deal. You will burn through those puppies so fast. They are decent performers as well (at least my 19 summer performance tires) but the durability is absolute garbage. You need perfect roads to keep your investment safe. Get the package if you plan on sticking with them.

Like all insurance, it's a balance of probabilities. If your roads are crap, or where you intend driving to has crap roads then it makes sense to get it. If you've billiard table smooth roads, then don't get it. I'm in the UK, I could swear our potholes have legal rights to exist, so I have it. Touch wood, I've not had to use it yet on my 18" wheels. I've had to replace my rears tyres (rubber) due to a bulge.
I will see what they offer me. I know there are a variety of plans and the dealerships are incentivized heavily on all aftermarket plans like these. I'm sure there is room for negotiation.

ExploreMy wife got her car in April, and has already had to replace 2 punctured tires, so it has definitely been worth it for us. I am planning to get it on my 2019.

The OEM wheels and tires are garbage, Get it if you intend on sticking with the package through the term of owning the car.
I had 3 bent wheels and two bad tires before 12k miles. All ended up being covered without the insurance but was a serious headache and I was not getting additional help after this occurred.
I would recommend anyone getting this car to go with 18's and go with an aftermarket 19 inch wheel and conventional non-run flat tire if you do not intend to get the insurance and don't want any problems.
