Tires

picked up a nail in the rear passenger tire of my 18 C43 Sedan. I have the 18” with the horrible Pirelli Cinturato. I was going to use this opportunity to go to the Michelin Pilot A/S 3 on all four corners, non run flat.

Anyone done anything similar? Would be great to hear your observations.

Yes, I have the same setup. Works great all year in Nebraska. For potential flats, I keep an A/C pump from Costco, a patch kit and slime kit in the trunk.

In the future, please use the "search this forum" function as the creation of this thread is extremely redundant and only muddies up the water making searches more difficult. /repostpolice

That is what I did on my C43, though I have 19". I have AAA for flats.

.
How are you guys rotating your tires? Obviously left and right only for staggered setup. But how long in between.

Every half-year, when I switch to winters and back.

Thanks everyone and noted re duplicative threads. One thing I didn’t see addressed specifically in other threads, so thought I would ask — when switching from RFT to Non-RFT tires do you follow the same guidance as in the gas cap re tire pressure or was that calibrated assuming use of an RFT tire? I know RFT tires obviously have stronger sidewalls, so was not sure if I should just use the same tire pressure once I switch.

Follow the gas cap guidelines. That's what I use here in the UK with my non runflats, Dunlop up front, Michelins at the rear...
